The guy has crazy power. One of the guys at the gym I go to knew guys that boxed him in the amateurs and they say his power is incredible. As for skills, the guy has poor defence and is very outboxable, but that one punch KO power is a risk for anyone.

I dont rank Haye at Heavyweight cos he hasnt beat anybody worth really mentioning there. I dont see how Taylor can be the 3rd best Super Middleweight having never fought at the weight. Just doesnt make logical sense

I know you didn't ask me but..

I think Haye should slot in Low in the Top 10 (Same as what I think Taylor should be rated at SMW). Neither Haye or Taylor have proven anything at those weights to be ranked within the Top 5 IMO.
I may be wrong but I thought both of you had Pavlik around no.5 in the recent p4p thread here on NSB.

It's no secret that I like Taylor a lot. Without scoring the fight I felt Taylor won the second with Pavlik and you certainly could make a case that Pavlik should have been stopped in the first. So if I used Dirk's logic Taylor should still be MW champ.

I would rate Taylor at 3 possibly 2 at SMW behind Kessler and perhaps Bute. And I think Taylor would win a fight against either of them if he get's back into shape.

There is a chance I did, probably more so to avoid an argument with any fan boys. I can't be bothered with confrontation,

I would say he should be lower top 10. Maybe 7 or 8.

I gained more respect for Taylor in his 2 back-to-back loses than I ever had for him in his wins over B Hop, Ouma, Spinks and the draw with Wright. I scred the fight to Taylor, by 1 or 2 points I think, but I was scoring in my head so i'm not too sure.

Froch is overrated. Nobody has ducked him. He hasn't fought anyone, and he doesn't have a great right hand. He is like 30 I believe and his time is running out.

            Taylor just admittedly avoided him.

I think he has a chance at beating other unproven SMW's such as Inkin. And possibly Miranda.

But Kessler, Bute, Andrade, Bika, Manfredo, Jermain Taylor. All these guys beat him.

I think he might just sneak into the top 10 at SMW.

But hes definetely overhyped. With no real defence, or technique, hes a walking title. And i think he will beat Pascal, who is another over rated, over hyped fighter. But then a top 10 opponent will take his title.
Nobody wins by landing lucky shots. Did Ottke get lucky with his great ko ratio, and ko Mundine knocking him unconscious?

Nope. It was a business decision. Why fight Froch for change when you can fight the shot Lacy for megabucks. After that fight Taylor can pick any SMW champion he wants and pick up the largest share of the pie in doing so.

If I was Taylor I'd done the same for sure.

I know why he did it. Doesnt make it right or credible.
