    Slugger Vs Boxer.

    This is gonna be good.

Its gonna look something like Calderon Vs Cazarez.

The primary difference is that Darchinyan, the slugger, is the smaller man. Cazares was a functional bantamweight when fighting Calderon, who was really a 105 pounder looking for greener pastures at 108.

Yea, I wasn't talking about the size difference, just the skill. Still should be interesting though. If Vic connects, then there could be a problem. Can't wait for this fight!

Mijares' feet and hands are going to be so much sharper than Darchinyan that I find it difficult to imagine Vic landing too many meaningful shots. The big risk is in the fact that Mijares isn't a power puncher himself and when you have a guy like Darchinyan hangign around for too long the fight can turn on one shot. I can't wait for this matchup, winner gets montiel in what will also be an amazing fight.

Vic will get tired and frustrated and he will whiff a lot.
By the time this one goes deep, his power and spirit will have left him.

While Mijares will smile and continue educating him on the finer points of boxing.

That's the most probable outcome, especially considering the gulf in handspeed that will be in play.

This will be the super fly version of a Pac-Valero fight. As soon as Vic winds up, Mijares will tee off.

Mijares will stop him off of accumlation of punches or bad cuts. Mijares isn't a power puncher by any means, but he stopped Kawashima and that takes work to do.

More importantly, god I hope BAD picks this up for 11/1 so I have something else to watch other then the Margarito PPV. I'll be pissed if it goes on Showtime 11/8...which it probably will.

Vic is as one of the most exciting fighters out there and will hold his own against Mijares. Will that be enough to win I hope so.
