There really is no way to verify how good Medina is, he's never been televised in America and theres no way to tell how good his opponents are.

Angulo is a serious fighter with a much greater level of opposition. If Medina was that good, we'd have heard about him.

Top Rank does the most with there prospects. Look at JCC and Cotto. JCC isn't ready so he keeps fighting bums and getting paid good for it. Cotto was kept climbing the ladder until GIant Margarito through him off. Pacman is another great story. Bob knows what he is doing.

who is making him out to be big? never once did I say his name HOWEVER, you comparing a proven prospect to a literal unknown is comedic and I called you on it.

and trust me I have been around and seen Vanes enough to doubt I will ever be a fan. He still doesn't plant enough, he gets hit a bit, he still fights very upright with that chin begging to be countered. It's really fortunate that his opposition has been soft or else you would have been a sad guy by now.

who knows maybe this mystery man Medina might be the one.

I admit he has some flaws that need work... but thats what Ronnie is polishing now and the improvement is apparant in each fight we move forward.

Vanes is gifted with 2 things that you CANT teach though... some serious power, and a great chin.. so if you think its guys like Medina or Angulo that are gonna stand in his way... you have NO idea my friend.

as opposition gets better, he tends to step his game up.. as he often does in sparring against the likes of Hopkins, Karmazin, Bika, Manfredo

nobody has seen the REAL Vanes yet.

                    From what I have seen.

He has been toying with every opponent. He is already top contender Material.

The guy will be something big. He is quick has good footwork and definite punch power.

he is more of a complete fighter than angulo is. I wish they would fight because if they did angulo wouldnt be able to his shots coming like a slow Richar Gutierrez

The REAL Vanes is the one fighting in the ring when it matters, not fighting with head gear and no meaning behind it.

Dominick Guinn has skills that I have NEVER seen before, but that is in sparring. The real fighter is the one in the ring when it counts.

He is stiff, not fluid, doesnt have the greatest foot work, still looks a bit amateurish. He looks like a fighter that is surviving off of athleticism and started boxing late in his teen instead of being a student of the game and growing up boxing.

Everyone raves how great of a sparring partner Ishe Smith is, but look at hos career. Sparring doesnt always translate into a great career. The only thing that is keeping him afloat as of this moment is hos power. But a skilled BOXER will beat him ten out of ten times.
