The Greatness of Felix Trinidad

I didn't say his boxing skills were bad, just nothing particularly special. As far as legacy goes, certainly he'll be remembered for years and years, no doubt about it. But he still isn't an all time great, unless you're talking strictly about pound for pound punching power, and in that case he certainly would be considered an all time great. Over all, though, while an excellent fighter, I feel he just falls short of being in serious consideration as an all time great. But don't go thinking I'm saying that because I don't like him....I still watch some of his old fights because he was exciting as hell.
Also, that fight with Oscar....you really ought not to use that as an example of his "greatness", honestly.Comment

The Hawaiian Punch ruined Ruiz for anything that remotely resembles actual boxing. I haven't seen him in a fight I enjoyed watching since his nap 19 seconds into the first round of that fight.
And the other guy you mentioned is a pygmy. If he didn't stay on his bicycle, he'd get obliterated, and hell....maybe even accidentally stepped on and squished.Comment

hawaiian punch? more like samoan sumo. The Hawaiian Punch ruined Ruiz for anything that remotely resembles actual boxing. I haven't seen him in a fight I enjoyed watching since his nap 19 seconds into the first round of that fight.

on pygmy , he doesn't have to fight like that though..... he can still throw combos while boxing. that 1 jab and run **** doesn't do much for me as a fan.
i'm not saying slug it out...... he's not built for that but he can go in throw some combos and go back out. he can do some better countering with his skills and talent.Comment

I don't believe in RED K and Flawless is my buddy so I wouldn't hit him with it but if you feel like giving someone RED K for a thread please click the link above and show him some Tito style loving. Puerto Ricans and they're ALTS do your thing......
