his jab? uh no... roy used his jab a little in the tito fight, and thats it.. .roy doesnt like the jab because its a punch that can be easily countered...
he is a straight right, duck and bounce out of the way fighter
a left hook and land to the side of his opponent type fighter...Comment

I wasn't talking about how much he does it. IMO his jab is the only shot he has that still retains 'prime' speeds.his jab? uh no... roy used his jab a little in the tito fight, and thats it.. .roy doesnt like the jab because its a punch that can be easily countered...

It's not that he has no chance of winning, it's just that his chances are minimal, at best. And anyone who is completely honest with themselves, have seen the last few fights Jones has had, seen his work rate and his reluctance to really let his hands go, should see the same. I said it before, now I'll say it again...to have a significant chance to beat Calzaghe, Roy MUST be conditioned enough to throw at Calzaghe's pace for 12 rounds. IF he can do that, I give him about a 65% chance of winning by UD. Otherwise, I put his chance of winning at under 10%, and his chances of even finishing on his feet at only around 25%, 30% tops. Hell, I like Roy, and I'd like to see him win this fight just as much as I'd like to see Zaggs win, but I am, first and foremost, a realist, and brutally honest with myself. I never allow emotion to play a part in how I make a prediction, and I want everyone to remember what I've said about this fight come fight night.Comment

I disagree... all of his punches are still prime speed.
i made this... it starts off with all his jabs, then all his right hands, then all his combos... then his defense... the last 5 mins is all his combinations

Your video is well put together, but it illustrates my point above...His work rate is maybe 50% of Calzaghe's. If he brought his work rate up anywhere close to Zaggs', he'll be gassed by 8, and on the canvas by 11.
Also wanted to mention....Roy is not putting the steam on his shots that he used to. Most of those lead rights he caught Tito with would've put him on his shorts had it been just a few years ago. That's part of why Roy seemed to have the steam he needed to finish that fight in good shape...he's not throwing with conviction at all, mostly. If he'd set down on some of those rights, Tito would've been gone very, very early, I think Roy is just very reluctant to expend that kind of energy because he knows he isn't in the condition he needs to be to throw heavier shots for an entire fight.Comment
