lol.....what a ****ing clown arum is.........winky deserves much more than that...hell winky earned 3 mill fighting quartey....he made more ppv sells as trinidads B side than Jones Jr.....his fight with jt had better ratings than pavlik-taylor......his ppv with hopkins was top 4 for HBO last year....sold more than taylor-pavlik 2....

It has nothing to do with Pavlik, and everything to do with Winky. Winky has said he's not retired, and he wants to fight again. Well if that's the case he needs to get off of his ass and make it happen. And not sit there and turn down offers from everybody because they're not offering him what he thinks he's worth.

Winky is not worth more than a million dollars anymore, he's not. I'd say the same thing if it was some average guy offering him $750K, not the undefeated, undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World who's becoming a superstar in the sport.

Don't hold your breath for anybody offering him $2.5 million for a fight, I doubt he'll break $1 million.

But we're not talking that issue, we're talking about Winky himself.

HBO reserves the right to terminate any fighter's contract to the best of my knowledge, and if I were them I'd terminate Winky's or at least renegotiate it. Nobody in their right mind is going to give him $2 million to fight the likes of Sergio Mora or Arthur Abraham. They couldn't seel a PPV if their life depended on it.

Winky isnt worth 2M, I dont give a **** what he's signed or whatever. The truth of the matter is he's been inactive for wayyyyyyyyyy too long and is getting old. That combined with the fact that he isnt exactly a crowd pleaser is a recipe that calls for getting whatever fights you can for now. Sorry but I really really doubt we'll see him in the ring again (unless he walks in with one of his boys but he aint boxing)

Hopkins is not the beast he once was. At 43 years of age I can't blame him for fighting conservatively, it makes total sense. Especially if you want to leave the sport with your health intact.

Wright may have had better PPV sales than Kelly back in the day but you of all people should know that boxing is a "what have you done for me lately" kind of business and Wright is irrelevant in today's scheme of things.

Boxing owes Winky nothing. Nor does Arum and especially Pavlik. If he wants his name back on the minds of the fans and promoters, get out there and take some quality fights. I completely agree he is not worth millions to watch and I wouldn't even care to watch him anymore. That being said, is only because of his inactivity and attitude anymore. Wink needs to just man up and take some the offers he is given or announce his retirement. I agree with whoever said it that he may end up ****ing himself into getting even less from here on out. I don't love Pavlik. I like the kid, he's a good guy with a ton of heart and he's exciting to watch. That said he has no technical polish whatsoever, and relys solely on pressure and the one-two to get the job done.
