Ur the die hard fan of the man..so I'd expect you to say that..but his heart and chin out-weigh his skill like a brick to a feather..That's just my opinion tho..
no pun intended and much respect!.
How did Tony land so many uppercuts?
It would take a great amount of skill to land that many damaging uppercuts wouldn't it?
lol, seriously, you're a joke. Creating angles is a skill just as much as throwing an effective punch which Tony does. You must have lost a **** load of money to still be this upset and try to degrade the mans skills.
Doesn't say much about Cottos abilities if he quit against a guy who is just big and doesn't have any skill as you say.
I actually didn't lose any money..or "points" for that matter..
and ur constant attack on me bein bitter is non-sense..and I'm degrading something that is not existent?..
and Cotto's abilities (since u mention it) show that he was clearly the more effective puncher that night..and U clearly saw..and don't lie bro..the corona's weren't buzzin u that hard..that Cotto was hittin him with the cleaner and much harder shots..but..Margarito again has an iron chin..and a non-stop workrate..which all would agree won him that particular fight

You I believe are like the people that were in my house that night...
"We just want the Mexican to win!!"...
So u are telling me that Margarito threw more effectively that night?..
He broke Cotto's will..and his nose..It's a boxing match it happens..
doesn't take much skill to do neither..
but to land as clean and effective as Cotto did..Does..Common Sense IMO
Cotto quit the match guy. Margaritos skillful uppercuts were ten times more effective than any punch Cotto threw.
Whos face was a bloody mess at the end?
Whos corner had to get up on the ring apron to make sure the fight didn't go on?
Who took a knee twice without even taking a punch?
and you're going to sit here and say Cottos punches were more effective?
If Cottos punches were so effective ( do you even know what it means?) how did Tony win?

I thought Cotto was throwing the better shots, which is what you are saying.
They were not the more effective of the two though, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the punches being thrown as to which of the punches were more effective.
The reason Margarito's punches were more effective is merely because Margarito can take a punch like Jenna Jameson can take a ****, and Cotto, just... can't.
I would be willing to bet that Cotto's punches would register high on a PSI tester than Margarito's would have, but... Cotto just couldn't take the punches as well, which inreased the effectiveness of Tony's shots.
I really do think you two are just arguing about the same thing, and you are stuck on a linguistic error.

LOL!!..
again..Because MARGARITO CAN TAKE A PUNCH!!..
and ok..I won't use the word effective..
So tell me Pelon..Who was more ACCURATE?..who's punches looked cleaner?..Harder?..
If u say Margarito's I'm done with u..Cuz there is no way in hell he did..sorry..
You take it as me discrediting Margarito which I clearly never did..but you're makin it seem like Cotto was his easiest opponent to date..so who is discrediting who?..
But back to Margarito..He throws punches in bundles..he's not pickin a well-technique punch to throw when he wants..he goes straight around over under behind through the legs!..he throws alot to pressure..which is his "style"..and along with his Granite chin..is what landed him that victory..

PERIOD!
and yet, to be able to all of that for as long as he does throughout a fight, takes skill. First, he has to know how to punch properly, then he has to have the timing down, and lastly, he needs the stamina to sustain that type of output. But because he doesn't set and pick his shots, hes not skilled?
Gtfoh. Your boy got beat to a pulp like many other Margarito opponents. It takes skill to put down an asswhipping like that. As I said, its not the prettiest or the flashiest, but its still skill involved.
So Cotto was more accurate. Whoopdeewhoo. What exactly did he win for being more accurate because I know it wasn't the fight. And nobody cares whos punches looked cleaner because thats not what matters.
What matters is whos punches were more effective.
Tonys were more effective and harder as well.
He made Cotto quit.
lol @ you thinking accuracy is going to win that fight. Tony was already ahead by that point anyways.

Will, determination, chin, heart, are like punching power, these things can not be taught to exceed what you were naturally given. Cotto's punches were clean but, weren't effective at least not on Margarito they weren't, Margarito's slow punches to the body were much more effective than Cotto's faster, shorter, punches. Cotto said it himself in that he couldn't work the body because of the left uppercut.
I don't care how good your heart and chin is, you will not get through a fight with a good fighter if your skill isn't up to par, just ask Jesse Feliciano.
