But the real question is, would a prime Tyson stop a prime Margarito?
Did a prime Ali have the feet to be fleet-footed? To get up on his toes and move around the ring like Tyson?

Could Ali have beaten a gorilla?

If ali got in the cage do you think he could of knocked the gorilla out with a punch?.

Well I remember reading a scientific study (or possibly a post by catskills) that said that gorillas are too ponderous to compete against someone as fast as Ali.

The fact is, you are who you beat, and gorillas tend to stay in cages, avoiding world class opponents.

I think a prime Ali dances circles around the gorilla, and possibly stops him late with a corkscrew uppercut whilst doing the Ali shuffle. Some say the gorilla has a puncher's chance, but Ali had a pretty good chin so no worries there.

Tyson was a lunatic before he went to prison. Prison was a direct result of that lunacy. I think Douglas would've won whether Tyson had done time or not. It's a shame that he missed the time in the ring, but I doubt it made much difference actually in the ring. He seemed, to me at least, to be the same fighter inside the squared circle as before. He never had the ability to go deep except for his earlier years. And I think after awhile he figured he'd never really have to. Before Douglas he did what...two or three times in his career? Tony Tucker was the last time (before Buster Douglas) that he had to go more than 6 or 7. And he was well ahead on the cards most of the fight, no reason to get discouraged. Also was 3 years or so younger, and probably had been actually training for something besides a KO in less than 7. And later on, Ruddock went the distance with Tyson, but again....it was all Tyson, no reason to give up.

No, Tyson was never mentally competant. The second **** started to go a little sour, he fell apart/flipped out/cannabilized his opponent/mentally gave up, etc. You could see it in his face during the last couple of rounds against Douglas.

Thanks to the renowned boxing expert catskills23, I now know why gorillas couldn't survive in the heavyweight division. Although I've been told by catskills that gorillas have one helluva chin (Margarito-esque) so it's impossible for them to be KO'ed. I honestly think Ali would jab the gorilla to death for 15 straight rounds without throwing a right hand because he wouldn't wanna work up a sweat.

Prime Tyson, on the other hand, would murder the gorilla. Just ask catskills...

Ali isn't a warrior because he jabs. Tyson is a warrior because he quits on his stool.

Clegg I see you got Pavlik by KO over BHop. What do you see that makes you think he is good enough to stop Bernard?

Ali was at his best when he hungry for the title, trying to gain or recapture it. If he came in as champion with a lax attitude like he somewhat did for the first Frazier fight, Tyson might have been able to shock him. In most scenarios I see Ali taking it, just too resilient, he would take Tyson's heart.
