Prime Tyson... The most OVERRATED boxer of all time.
this guy says ali would beat a prime tyson

tyson's speed and power was what made him great, he struggled agaisnt people who had the combination of a good jab and good footwork...Imagine good footwork, one of the top 3 jabs of all time at hw, and a great chin and will to continue getting back up...over and over again..tyson would not do that and ali would have him psyched out before the fight even began.
But all due respect for Tyson, he had probably the most crowd pleasing style I've ever seen in my lifetime, or anytime in the history of boxing. It was great to watch. But, anyone with Tyson in their top 3 ATG HW list, imo needs to take another look.Comment

The truth is we'll never know how that bout would have ended. Frazier was a lot tougher mentally than Tyson was though. Also when Frazier beat Ali, Ali had just come off a long layoff due to the draft dodging.
I think Ali would have picked him to pieces...Comment

Thats not prime Ali lol , he was not the same after a 3 year forced lay off and out of the ring nightmare that he lived through , go and look at early Ali .
Ali had one of the greatest chins of any heavy in history you dont just KO him , he layed on the ropes and let Foreman hit him and Forman hits harder than Tyson , Tyson was not much other than a puncher fed a string of stiffs and Holyfield showed what a real class near prime fighter can do , with Ali Mikes head would have been used like a speed ball .Comment

I never liked Ali, although I came to appreciate his skills after the fact. That being said, Ali would have taken Tyson apart piece by piece. "Rope-A-Dope" would have taken on a new meaning. After the pre-fight drama, it would have been a boring fight.Comment

The Ali before the layoff could've maybe beaten any heavyweight in history
As it stands I'd still favor Ali at his best over Tyson, name one disadvantage besides power that Ali would have...Comment
