Roy will beat Calzaghe with Ease, Roy's still has speed and Calzaghe slapping punches won't do anything to Roy's chin. Both Tarver and Glen Johnson have power that Calzaghe does not.

Calzaghe will beat Jones alot more convincingly than he beat Hopkins.

is there really much to gain by Calzaghe by beating these 2 guys at the stages of their careers that they been or are in???

Yep...a truckload of cash. Pretty much all the reason he needs, if you ask me.

You know, you must be right....after all, Calzaghe's "slapping punches" never bothered Lacy or Kessler, or anyone else he's slapped around.

Where do these guys come from? And is self-deception now a sport, a hobby, or a contest of some sort? Is there some big ****ing prize for the winner, the one who's better at it than anyone else? 'Cause some of these guys have got to be ****ing world champions.

it reminds me of Camacho's quote when he fought Leonard ,Camacho said prior to the fight he lost to Terry Norris 4/6 years ago how can he be any better now
              This is not staggering.

I had about twelve regular posters bet me that Holyfield would beat Ibragimov.

                Why?

You haven't even firmly said if the fight will end within the distance or not. It's hardly as if you're making an ultra-precise prediction ie. 7th round KO due to a body shot.

Calzaghe is the favourite and is ranked P4P#2, and most accept that Jones is years past his best. Predicting a Calzaghe win and being right wouldn't be a big deal.

Yes, beating P4P top 5 Bernard Hopkins, who was coming off of 2 wins against P4P top 10 guys and was the highest rated potential opponent for Calzaghe to face is a very good achievement.

                  Beating Roy Jones...not so much.

i really can't wait to see this fight. i am not going for one fighter over the other, i like both. but i can see why people are still picking jones over joe. jones still has speed and can fight when he wants to.when he fought johnson and tarver the third time he was fighting scared and he paid for it.i think he took the right route in fighting a few nobodys and then trinidad so he got some confidence back.
in saying that i still think joe can come in and beat jones. i like both fighters and will not be rooting for either one though.i just wish they would have fought 5 years ago but i know it would not have meant as much for jones to beat him then because joe didnt have the name he does today.

the reason i say it will be like the Hopkins fight is because i believe if Jones does get stopped it will be due to fatigue and tiredness rather than being hurt everyone knows its easier to hurt a fighter when he is tired and the fighter himself is much more likely to jack it on or have a reason to quit when he is hurt & tired

on the other hand if he goes the distance in my opinion he will have surrendered to may rounds due to inactivity because he cant engauge for 12 due to fatigue due his age

either way his chances of winning are minimal based on the fact he cant sustain action for 10 rounds let alone 12 that is my argument fatigue will be the reason he loses even if he slows down and gets hurt it will most likely be because he is languishing on the ropes because he aint got the stamina to keep moving to stay of them

the guy is 40 years old and that is why Calzaghe is facing him he knows he can beat a shot 40 year old so no matter how good Jones starts he will fade just like Hopkins its a sure fire way for your hero to pad his record some more and avoid good fighters like Pavlik

why break the habbits of a life time i guess
