Correct! That sir is a lovely Wolverine resting happily in the lush forest somewhere in the North I believe. Gods gift to us, the Wolverine.

Dios, did you enjoy the fight? Do you feel like there is a moral victory for anybody if this fight didn't do well? I mean, who are you addressing with this thread? It's like you're celebrating a bad thing. And that doesn't sound like a boxing fan to me.

              Reread the original post.

              1) Acknowledgement of in-ring quality (so why ask?)

              2) Acknowledgement of commercial softness (so why ask?)

Um, why don't you re-read mine? Or **** it, I'll rephrase.

Acknowledging it being a good fight is one thing. But throwing the fact that the fight didn't do well out at people like you won something does what?

You are making an assumption that my post has a celebratory tone. It does not. It has a declarative tone.

That being said, I am neither pleased nor disappointed taht the fight had middling commercial value. Because, as a hardcore fan, I'm gonna watch it anyway. It was a MEANINGFUL fight. Nor do I have an expectation that "this fight put boxing back on the boards". That is idiotic.

I was merely responding to people who have wildly overstated the commercial viability of either fighter.

Most of your threads center around these kinds of things. I was just wondering why you tend to harp on the negatives as a main topic.

The business side of the sport interests me nearly as much as the competitive side. That is different than the vast majority of posters on here.
