I agree Soto would probably be tougher for Pac at 135 than Hatton at 140, but I don't see Hatton beatin Paulie anyway. If he loses that fight he ain't gonna be facin Pac.

Hatton is not easy pickings for Pac. I think this fight should be made, it would be a great one.

Who cares what Diaz thinks. He has no say in these negotiations anyways. What type of an article is this? Didnt Diaz say to go for DLH as well. Why does Diaz's opinion even matter?

i sure hope pac fights hatton, hatton would punish pac from ring post to ring post

its really amazing, all this talk about who he fights next and now people are talking about pacquiao like people used to talk about Roy and Floyd, a lot of what ifs have made people forget that pacquiao struggled with marquez and was lucky to get the desicion.

The only thing is, Marquez is a much much better boxer than Hatton, and Pacquiao will probably be busting Hatton up from round one.
Possibly you are correct, but you're defeating your own argument when you say that against Marquez he "shudda" ..."wudda" etc. He didn't did he.....?? Why not?? Maybe because he couldn't translate desire into suitable action. Manny has shown himself to be a very slow thinker, and not only in the ring. Are we all forgetting the contract messups where he signed himself away to several promoters, and was making contradictory statements every day. There was a time when he was just about ready to dump Freddie Roach I think, before Freddie gained the complete ascendancy over him that he later did. Freddie even got him to agree to a contractual 10% which, in my opinion is about 5% too much.

And everybody was making excuses for him, that he was "not very bright", that "he only had a third grade education" etc.etc. I recall one person writing that "his lack of intelligence shows all over his ordinary looking but pleasant face."

To you Manny shows one facet, to me he shows the opposite. Well since you and I are both people who think differently, this is only to be expected.....

Also I don't know what boxing experience you have, both in the ring, or in a judging capacity.

                Marquez and Hatton.

And yes you're right, marquez is a much better boxer than Hatton. The onlybthing is that Hatton is much bigger than Marquez and, unless he's shot, would grapple Manny before he got busted up whilst doing a little busting up of his own. Manny has never been difficult to hit, and can be timed.

Your right, Manny hasn't been difficult to hit, but against Diaz he showed much improved defense (though to keep it in perspective, it was Diaz), Hatton though despite his nickname is no sharpshooter and if Manny can be timed Hatton is not the one with tools to execute that type of gameplan.

Unless Hatton can wear Manny down with his clinching, strength, and bodywork (which I dont think he can btw) and be able to come on strong at the end, I see him getting knocked out. Manny is notorious for his superior stamina and Ricky is known to fade in the later rounds, also he is there to be hit even more than Pac and I will assume that Manny will bring his power up to 140 and brutally KO Hatton in the later rounds.

I agree with edgarg, that pacman only looked amazing because he was fighting a poor champion in David Diaz. Before the fight people were saying it was a mismatch and pacman would destroy him, not worthly of ppv then pacman annhilates him and eveyrone acts like its pacmans best win of his career. Real ironic don't you think?

Hatton is infact a sharpshooter, hes got very fast hands and good accuracy. Despite the belief, hatton doesn't actually throw that many punches a round, he just relies on his natural instinct and intense pressure. He always believed a good body shot will slow down his opponent, which has showed.

Also pacman can win this fight, but so can hatton. Also agree with edgarg that pacman is a slow thinker, a 70-30 split with oscar was good money but he thought it wasn't. Don't get me wrong oscar didn't deserve it as a 70-30 as pacman was the pfp no 1 champ and imo people are there for him, not oscar.
