Cotto Is A Total Different Story, As Is Any Other Fighter That Is Curently An Active Fighter. No Matter If You Win Or Loose A Part Of Your Fighting Style Always Changes......you Might Do Different Things Or You Might Stop Doing Some Things You Used To Do.....but The Fights Definatly Change You....it Would Be Unwise Not To Change Your Style In My Opinion Because Every Fighter Is Not The Same......cotto Might Have Just Needed This Ass Whoopin To Make Him Realize He Needs To Implenent Some New Weapons To His Arsenal....it Can Go Either Way...he Can Fold Or Can Prevail......time Will Always Tell.
Cotto Will Be A True Champion If He Can, Like Many Before Him, Prevail And Continue To Win Despite This One Horrific Defeat....
A Lose Does Not Automatically Discredit Your Skills.....multiple Defeats Do....he Only Has 1.............

Yeah, the "quitting" tag really annoys me. This man knows his body and limitations better than anybody else. It's easy to sit behind a computer and say those things though.

I don't know guys, I mean, I am a Cotto fan but I really feel he will not be the same after this fight, he was a favorite to win it and he didn't, it was a big responsabilty that was put on his shoulders to win this one and he blew it. Sorry, just can't see him being the same after this....

            No Mas

Nobody wants to hear that song and dance. The man took a knee. I am a huge Cotto fan, my first question after the fight to mang was do you think he can come back after that. Getting your pink busted often changes you forever. Its like horse racing. A horses mentality never wants to lose, however when it does, that horse is often turned into glue. They never rebound for whatever reason. My book should be out in 2 years regarding this subject matter.

As for TCN gettin t bagged by GBFMJ....... Stop living in the past bro. Homie your right the only ducken he did was out of the ring. his pillow punches would not ko cotto. Your boy decided to, shun, divert, (funny to have duck as a syn of avoid) cant say anymore. Not hattin, I would do the same thing. Get my $$$$ and roll out, esp when I get 20m to ko the big show.... Doesnt that make him a quitter as well? So can we just say Cotto decided to retire for the evening?

My word of the day is:
            homunculus......

GBFMJ rode off into the dark night on his homunculus horse.. to never be seen or heard from again.

So a lot of you idiots would consider Israel Vazquez a quitter since unlike Cotto he clearly quit in the first Marquez/Vazquez fight. Cotto was having trouble breathing just as Varquez, he held on for as long as he could.

Anyone who thinks Cotto quit is just ignorant. Or 12.

he took a beating and i said he'd be back cause he's a good fighter but reality is he might not be the same fighter especially when they want to match him with someone like Cintron. And whats going to happen when he is taking another beating can he fight through it or not?

That was Tysons problem at least in the past people said Once Tyson was pressure he couldn't handle it, Cotto actually took a knee.

If i had to be honest no way Cotto will be the same.

You have a great point. But Vasquez didn't take the beating Cotto took. And as you know boxing is definetly about mental toughness so we'll see. In the 3rd fight with Marquez theres no doubt Vasquez took a beating in his win. He and Marquez might have finished each other as top fighters.
