I'm American and I agree with everything you said. Those are facts that people don't want to accept when it doesn't benefit their favorite fighter.. They do the same thing with Mayweather.

A realist. Things like this don't get said, and won't get said enough. Some people are so predictable with the oh he ducked him and he knows he'd lose to him. It's unreal, and wishful thinking.

Calzaghes hardly going to be scared of a MW when he's faced a huge SMW and is fighting a LHW. He takes a good punch and has said he'd be willing to fight Pavlik. Timing it just awful though, he's well within his rights to retire when he wants to.

Folk rant on about guys fighting too long, second someone says the intend to retire when they planned to retire, ppl are jumping on the bandwagon saying he's ducking and no good. I half wish Hops would beat Kelly.

I don't think it means anything if Hops beats Pavlik but I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Kelly Pavlik is good, not great. I'm not sure why he is considered the ultimate test. He nearly got KO'ed in two by a frontrunning Jermain Taylor and eked out a decision the second time. Call me a skeptic but I'd like to see him fight a Mikkel Kessler before he takes on a Calzaghe. Both have serious flaws and it would knock off one fighter being handed the keys too soon.

Good for Calzaghe. I respect a fighter who retires on his own terms. Now I expect to see the Pavlik cheerleaders claim "Calzaghe ducked Pavlik" which is not even close to being true.
