Anyway, we fluctuate back and forth from day to day on here as one bit of news indicating he'll retire comes out then one indicating he won't. Don't know if you saw but KrisSilver just posted up an article in which when asked if he'd fight again, Calzaghe said "show me the money" so what does that say? We still might get the fight. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
then he says pavlik isnt ready for him, and then he wants to fight pavlik... and now hes retired again
first he says bernard is a legend, and now that he beat him, hes a legend killer... NOW bernard isnt a legend and roy is..
Joe has contradicted himself on the daily...

I don't really pay much attention to what either of them say often now. I'm convinced Calzage will retire, ppl will up roar about it, and he may possibly go for a big money fight. But the scrutiny he receives while others retire with many more fight options out there, is telling.

If that's the case, it would rule out a potential bout with WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik, should the Youngstown fighter beat Bernard Hopkins on October 18 in Atlantic City. [details]

I think he's been fairly consistent on choice of opponent and retirement. He's basically always said Jones first choice, Pavlik if not, and "I'm retiring, but I'd never say never". Problem comes when he tries to explain it, the man needs to realise he doesn't need to explain. I honestly think that you Americans really hurt his feelings with your bashing!

i base my opinion on a fighter, his skillset and resume, not which country he comes from... so dont ever do that to me.
