Calzaghe is too skilful for Pavlik, and too fast. He will take away the range that Kelly needs to unload those punches, be very hard for Pavlik to hit and overwhelm him with shots from all angles. Basically, just watch the Kessler fight to se how Joe beats Kelly. Joe is just too good.

The difference is that Calzaghe is way better than Cotto, and Pavlik not as much of a beast as Margarito. Margs chin allows him to keep on coming. Pavlik won't be able to ignore Joe's shots in the same way. I wouldn't even be surprised if Joe turned out to be the stronger man. I agree that at some point, Joe will stand and trade with Pavlik, and I think you'll be surprised that Pavlik will not be able to hurt him and force him back. Kessler has proven super middleweight power.

Pavlik has fought once at Super Middleweight and couldnt KO Taylor.

How that equates to him having 3 times more power than Kessler is beyond me.

also, If Hopkins can hurt Calzaghe, Pavlik most definitely can. I think you are comparing Pavlik to Kessler, they have nothing in common. Pavlik fights like a cleaner Margerito.
