is chico corrales a hall of famer?

Yeah dude I'd definitely say Corrales is more of a hall of famer. Don't get me wrong, being outclassed by mayweather and then experiencing a somewhat short lived prime where you lost by tko doesn't sound great on paper, but the dude had amazing fights and amazing accomplishments. That 2nd fight alone with Cassy showed his ability to adapt and finally cut off the ring a little. His fight with Freitas showed his ability to chop down a fighter and stay in there ****ing all night long even without the footwork he had against cassy, and his tko loss to Casamayor was also very impressive. Let's not forget his FOTY, or his other championship wins.


Also would like to throw in that everytime I see gatti-manfredy, I go directly to Diego-Manfredy and Mayweather spankin baldy's ass as well.

I would say yes to both of them because of the warriorness(dont know if thats a word lol) they brought to the ring. People LOVED gatti!!!!! He had a great fan base and always put on great shows. I laugh at the dumb ass' like cmonmang that try to discredit gatti. Chico was the real deal! He took on all fighters **** he even went up and fought clottey and never gave up when he was clearly outsized. Corrales beat casamayor for the IBA and the vacant WBO title frietas vacated when frietas moved up. Then he goes up in weight and beats frietas for the wbo lightweight title that frietas had just won Corrales also manhandled Manfredy! One fight that i would have liked to see was corrales vs jorge barriors but it never got made for whatever reasons! He then goes and has the classic with castillo and beats castillo fighting castillos fight! He truely showed against casa and castillo he can adjust to anything. I would give them both hall of fame status chico being closer to it!

Gatti went to war and struggled to win against C+ fighters.

They would both be in on heart alone but it doesnt work that way.

Corrales is much more of a hall of famer than Gatti was. Corrales actually had to take tough fights, and was always competitive. Gatti, as much as I love him, got an easy path through the title picture. Corrales went to war with Castillo, Casamayor, Freitas, he was just the real deal.

The Hall Of Fame is not really about the best. It is about figures who made an impact on the sport and in my opinion, represent the sport in it's truest form.

Corrales and Gatti, were true ambassadors for the sport and brought in so many fans. True blood and guts fighters who fought against all odds and won titles on pure heart and guts.

You cannot beat that IMO and 50 years from now, they will still get looked back on with respect. It is not always about winning, but giving every ounce of yourself in an effort.

Neither Corrales nor Gatti deserves inductions because they didn't achieve too much in boxing. But you never know, there's other guys that I don't believe they deserve to be there.

I respect both of them but I don't think they should be there.
