Can Mayweather take the damage Cotto took?

Hionestly I don't see Flyod takinghalf the damage Cotto took from Margarito.
Mainly for the first reason as astated Money May will be on his horse all night. he will only throw one punch at a time and run run run from Margarito.

1) he won't stay in front of him and exchange
2) He doesn't have the heart and is not battle tested

First off Mayweather won't fight Margarito. Second, if he did, no, he wouldn't take the kind of damage Cotto took even if he stood in front of Margarito all night. He is too good defensively and Tony just isn't quick enough.
Even though he lost, I still think Cotto would be hell for Mayweather, moreso than Margarito.

Cotto fought a dumb fight, he has no defense, and it was his first fight. floyd has been in those tough fights, and his defense carried him over the top. Margs can't beat boxers, and Floyd is smarter than any fighter Margs ever got into the ring with. If dlh or Baldy couldn't hurt Floyd, what makes you think Margs will when he could do nothing against Clottey, Santos or Baldy? The day Margs is bakced up in a fight is the day he will be ko'd. floyd can fight forward or backward, Margs can't and we all know now Cotto never could fight going backwards.

130 was over 5 years ago guy. What he did at that weight doesn't easily translate to 147. If it did, I'm sure we'd see in the record books, Mayweather UD12 Margarito.
