    i know it's not official.

but if juan manuel marquez guys can claim he's undefeated after 4 losses...... i can overturn 1 hagler loss.

flurrying for the last 10-15 seconds of a round shouldn't win you the round. he didn't even come close to hurting marvin.

plus marvin gave away a few of the beginning rounds......

He's got even a few more solid wins on his resume but I won't bother to post.

Hell, Taylor did more than Calzaghe has.

i proved your point Wright ,slopkins beat his ass lol

Taylor got lucky decisions to get those wins on his resume

I scored the fight to Leonard. I think Haglers choice to box the first few rounds (Hence giving them away) cost him the fight. I might rewatch and re score it again later.

So Taylor was lucky enough to win not once but two times, and Joe wasn't lucky to beat a older version of Hopkins...

              Kessler
              Lacy

              Oscar Dela Hoya
              Trinidad
              Glen Johnson

Trinidad and Oscar Dela Hoya are welterweights

Are you kidding me? Lacy and Kesller were unproven prospects, who really hadnt faced anyone themselves...And Eubank was on his way out the door. True, B Hop has beat some blown up welters, but ODLH is a 6 division champ, and Trinidad and Glen Johnson were in their prime, and undefeated when they stepped in the ring with B Hop...A prime Hopkins against a prime calzaghe wouldve looked like B Hop against Joe Lipsey hahaha

you have a good point except Leonard landed so many flush shots you just couldn't give the fight to Hagler, even if he wasn't phased the entire fight.

Hopkins vs Calzaghe was totally different Calzaghe threw more but landed nothing. for example...lol

hard fight to judge but i think you know the kind of style i favor when scoring.

side note: see. i told you that thread wasn't directed towards just you. didn't i tell you they always bring hagler up?

Lacy was nailed on favourite to beat Joe by the American media and fans

Kessler was heavily tipped to give Joe a very stiff test

joe landed but there was no mustard on it. no relish , ketchup or onions either.

i think marvin won. beating leonard in the 80's is like getting a decision against ali in the 70's. you can win rounds but you have to dominate. if the round is close you know who the round is going to.
