Why do Calzaghe fans deny, lie and distort information.

Actually Calzaghe has been widely quoted as saying Eubank was his toughest fight.
Hopkins was just awkward cos he didnt wanna make it a fight. That doesnt equate to it being a "tough fight"Comment

Just because Kessler was in his prime doesn’t make him more dangerous. Tyson who was the more dangerous fighter for him a prime Bruno or a past his prime Holmes who style is suited to for Tyson and gave him the harder fight. Hopkins was coming off to good wins. Stopping Winky unbeaten run and Tarver.Comment

I do understand what you are saying. Hopkins is a great fighter with an illustrious career. I couldn't rate Calzaghe without also rating Hopkins, their careers are very similar. Calzaghe fans like the Kessler win because it was a great Joe performance in a competitive fight against an opponent who also looked excellent. Against Hopkins Joe looked scrappy and Hopkins didn't do anything very good either, so its hard to see it as Joe's best win. Fans tend to like fights in which their fighter looks good, which is why Hopkins fans love the Trinidad fight, when on paper the Tarver win is probably better really.Just because Kessler was in his prime doesn’t make him more dangerous. The Tarver fight is my favorite Hops scrap, followed by the Trinidad schooling.I do understand what you are saying. Hopkins is a great fighter with an illustrious career. Too many of Hops critics say Tito was blown up in that fight when honestly Tito was a shoe in for 160lbs. He was expected by all the experts to blow straight through Bernard, and when he didn't people invented excuses.
Hell Trinidad mauled Joppy, a career Middleweight who was damn good in his own right when he was 32-1-1. A guy who Hopkins himself couldn't stop.
I just prefer the Tarver match because it was Hopkins moving up in weight at 42 years of age.
Both were boxing clinics though.Comment

Haha. I sometimes say that Trinidad was too small for Hopkins, because to be honest thats what it looked like to me. We have to disagree sometimes! I always say though, that even if that's true for that particular fight it doesn't really matter, as you say, Trinidad was credible at MW he just happened to fight an even more credible one. Whatever factors came into play it was still a good Hopkins win. I like the Tarver fight for the same reason you do, I remember looking at the size differential in the ring and thinking WTF!!! You have to admit though, Tarver was shockingly bad in that fight! The Tarver fight is my favorite Hops scrap, followed by the Trinidad schooling.
