Why do Calzaghe fans deny, lie and distort information.

    Hopkins is Calzaghe best win.
    When they fought Calzaghe

    Mikkel Kessler
    Age:28

    P4P Status: Wasn’t in the top 10
Wins before the fight: Librado Andrade and Markus Beyer Neither in the p4p list

    The fight

Calzghe dominated, Kessler had no answer loses in a UD

    Bernard Hopkins
    Age: 43

P4P Status: Was in the top 5
Wins before the fight: Ronald Wright Antonio Tarver Both were in the p4p list.
    The fight

It was an ugly fight. Hopkins knocked down Calzaghe, but loses his stamina. Calzaghe wins in a SD, but some had Hopkins winning.

    - HBO's Harold Lederman scored the bout 116-111 for Calzaghe.
    - Associated Press, Yahoo, and ESPN scored the bout 114-113 for Hopkins.

The reason why they say Kessler was Calzaghe best wins

1 They don’t want to say their fighter’s best win was over a 43 year old man which included a knock down.

2 They don’t want an old yank to be his hardest fight

3 Saying Kessler was harder makes Europeans fighters look better, hence helping Calzaghe resume.

4 They are Hoping Kessler becomes a very good fighter years later hence saying that was Calzaghe best win

5 Hopkins made Calzaghe look like an amateur

Hopkins was Calzaghe best win; there is no need to deny this. Hopkins is the better fighter and his status was higher at the time when they fought and gave Calzaghe a harder fight.

You are a fat yank who knows nothing of boxers that don't go on HBO.

Hopkins is proven why Kessler isn’t how he is the better win. Hopkins was number one is the light heavyweight beating Tarver and Winky. Yet Kessler is the better win. I see no sense in that

I'm not a Joe fan but I am one of the people who say Kessler is Joe's best win. I just think Kessler is a prime fighter who at that point was the undisputed number 2 in the SMW division. Also it is a little unfair to say Joe totally dominated the fight. Kessler gave him some serious problems early before Joe managed to adjust and take over.

I had Joe winning the fight against Bernard. Even though Bhop made Joe look very bad he is just too old now and did not throw enough to win enough rounds I don't think.

Basically, I thought Kessler presented the most significant competitive challenge given the status of their careers at the time they fought Calzaghe.

Going into the Kessler fight many so called boxing experts thought Calzaghe was going to lose to the much younger Champion just like they did with Lacy and like Lacy, JC had a decisive victory. Hopkins was expected to lose to Calzaghe and he clearly did, but it was ugly since Cortez let Hop fight dirty. JC took Hopkins to school in the second half of the fight and age had nothing to do with it. Hop was able to finish strong against Taylor twice, Tarver and Winky, but had trouble with Calzaghe's pace and movement so he had to pretend to be hurt from a low blow to buy time to escape the pressure and rythym JC was getting.

Although, I agree that Hopkins was his best win.. I will say, the reason 'they' lie is the same reason any of biased group of fans lie. You have an agenda, you have to follow thru with it.

dude you are absolutely right. They say Kessler was his best win because it makes it look like Calzaghe is amazing if Kessler was better than Hopkins.

Bull**** that's what it is, Hopkins was Obviously Calzaghe's best fight and I had Hopkins winning. Slappy didn't land anything significant. This is a fight not a touch fest.

If you truly believe this it shows just how biased you really are. Noone takes Hopkins to school.

Kessler was SMW number 2. Hopkins was light weight number one and a lot of people thought Hopkins was going to win. You don’t judge a fighter by what people think but what they have done. Hopkins fight was a lot Closer and why are you making excuses for Kessler. Hopkins had a better record coming into the fight and his status was higher.
