Rocky Marciano and Mike Tyson are top two most overrated IMO. Marciano is not overrated as in his place in history becuase he is undoubtably a great fighter, but his fans overrated him when they make up things like he had underrated defense and could beat Ali. They also make excuses for when he was being out boxed by Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles by bringing up medical issues that no one has ever heard of. Its just ridiculous. Tyson is overrated and many people will agree. He has never beaten a great fighter that was in their prime.
debatable whether Marciano would of beaten someone like Evander Holyfield IMO
allthough im a Jones jr fan i have to say he is massively overrated aswell a lot of people on this board think he literally was unbeatable in the 90's
which is ****** obviously
I just rewatched Jones vs Merqui Sosa and i must say, he was a beast. Sosa was a fighter that was unbeaten when he lost a split decision to a prime and in shape James Toney. Jones blew him away in two rounds and became the first fighter two ever drop him. I sincerely underestimated Jones until i revisited his entire career from when he came onto the scene and until now.
I definitely see what you are saying though. He was not unbeatable. He was lossing on my card in the Montell Griffin fight before the disqualifiation.

Sonny Liston
Rocky Marciano
Muhammad Ali
Mike Tyson
who u got
Ali and Liston overrated? Liston is UNDERRATED. Ali's accomplishments are what make him. No, not what he did 'outside of the ring' but his great record and accomplishments, together with his abilities.
Now, imo young George Foreman is overrated. For modern times it seems the klitschko's are overrated when they are matched against the all time greats in head to head matchups.

I really can't see that happening in any way.
also i thought he struggled with leftys and he looked quite average against Malinga before the KO i guess what im saying is its alright for people to assume he was unbeatable but hey people thought the same thing about Mike Tyson and probably Shane Mosley
