Whether you heard of Kessler or not has nothing to do with how good he is, nor from the fact that he was, and indeed remains, the most credible challenger for best SMW boxer. I prefer my fighters to beat credible opponents rather than "names", but if you think otherwise its up to you.

I would have thought, given your opinion that you are all absolutely delighted with Calzaghe's decision to face Jones and when he beats him will universally hail it as the "biggest" win of his career. I would have preferred Pavlik personally.

The Country has everything to do with it. Do you honestly think the Uk's feather weight division could **** w/ Mexico's best? for example

It's been this way forever, some big British fighter has an undefeated record fighting bums and get's creamed on as soon as he crosses the water.

Speaking of ignorance, an undefeated record must be the only thing you look at on a resume.

    I'm not Mexican btw

So who has "creamed" Calzaghe? Also, if you honestly don't think Calzaghe is a class boxer there is only one explanation, you've hardly seen any of his fights.

Thats why I see it as his biggest win. Most important fight and best boxer.
the politics of the time didn't allow for wbc , wba , ibf guys to fight joe to unify. you know that. same reason naseem never held all the belts at once.

i got pissed off when some idiot yesterday was saying joe's defenses don't mean **** because it was a wbo belt. when i pointed out that those 3 all had belts at wbc , wba and ibf before fighting joe......he mysteriously never posted on that thread again.

Calzaghe hasn't even fought anyone except 43 year old Hopkins, that's why he hasn't been creamed on. You think I haven't watched any Calzaghe fights? You should watch some Prime Hopkins fights and you would know that he would kill Calzaghe every day of the week.

Can you also tell me how Calzaghe beat Hopkins? Calzaghe didn't do anything to him the entire fight except touch him a lot.

BTW, I don't want to seem like a Brit hater, i'm not a racist, I'm actually a big Fan of Hatton (he called out Mayweather, which took balls) and Prince Nasseem was a talented fighter. I'm just not convinced of Calzaghe, he literally hasn't fought any solid enough fighter's to get all the attention he does.

Stop clutching at straws because of your boxing ignorance.

Calzaghe is good but not Great alot of his fans put him on some godlike pedestal.

Its great to have pride in your favorite fighter but be realistic.

Realistic about his career and opponents.

Kessler isnt a huge feat and Calzaghe barely made it past him which makes him not want to fight an even more dangerous Kelly Pavlik and fight way past prime guys like B-Hop and Roy Jones
