Except some of Floyd's fans who think he's unbeatable. Pea/Floyd could go either way, it's a tough fight to predict a clear winner. The fight would probably be a close decision where everyone argues that their boy was jobbed.

I'll never understand how someone could go as far as to say that. Its really one of those fights where you can't pick.

training would become a big factor in this...PBF definetly had a better work ethic in the gym than Pernell did.

Well said man I agree. Did you see how I compare them style wise. Forgot to add, Whitaker is more slick

For two, mayweather at 130/135/140 was far more active on his punch output, sure hed be conservative for the first few rounds, but if he knew there was an opening, hed open up on you. With Whitaker and Mayweather, but of them would be looking for oppurtunities, Whitaker would be forced to respect mayweathers speed and mayweather would respect his defense, it wouldnt be a high punch output for neither fight because there would be very few oppurtunities to even throw anything.
Fair enough. I would still lean towards Pea, but you make some valid points.

Come on now, we're talking two entirely different classes of fighter here. I don't think you can even factor Gatti in when trying to decide who may win this fight.

I'm talking about the Mayweather that fought Gatti. That was the BEST Mayweather I've seen

I understand that, and it was an excepional performance by Floyd. But Gatti was human punching bag, while Whitaker at his best rarely go hit with clean punches. I just don't see the correlation between the two.

I believe Floyd wins as i see Floyd losing to a skilled, hard hitting bigger guy as Floyd would be cautious and eventually being outworked as opposed to a smaller defensive fighter. I think Floyd would take over the fight and become more aggressive as the fight wore on while still being able to slip peas punches in the pocket. Floyd has the height, reach and possible speed advantage meaning he should get his shots off first. Also take into consideration that Floyd had a higher punch output and more well rounded style from 130-140 compared to the higher weight classes
