Hopkins wuped a Prime Glen Johnson, and the Trinidad fight was at 154? Trinidad was undefeated, the size difference wasn't huge.

Size sin't everything, Tarver was bigger than B-hop and b-hop even at his age owned up.

But I agree, he's a little overrated, many call him the greatest middleweight of all time.

for me It's a tossup between Hagler and Jones, I don't consider Robinson the best middleweight because his middleweight competition was lack luster. Lamotta wasn't as good at Hearns and Duran.

This Poll is hard though, although hopkins best wins were from welterweights, Calzaghe doesn't have any good wins at ALL, so I don't know.

I chose Hopkins. I looked at Hopkins record and he has lost too many times while Joe Calzaghe has never lost. How could Joe Calzaghe be more overrated ?

size means everything when the skills are close.

trinidad fight was at 160 but he's a natural welter. just a welter with middleweight power.

i agree with glen johnson win though. that was his best win (not at the time but considering how glen did at 168 and 175) during his reign before trinidad.

i don't mind people calling bernard great but ATG i don't like.

to me ATG is someone who you can argue was the best in his division or great in multiple divisions.

bernard is not ATG to me. great and HOFer but NOT ATG.

because he didn't fight a lot of great fighters.

              good ones but not great.

a lot of guys can go undefeated if they don't fight great fighters.

oscar would be undefeated if he never fought mosley , floyd or hopkins.

Maybe fighters were afraid to fight him ? If he is the greatest fighter, it would seem logical the other great fighters would avoid him. They didnt want to lose their "great fighter" titles to him.

                  Yup.

If only Hopkins didn't turn down $4M in 2001 to fight Calzaghe. We'd have our answer right now.

Well, Hopkins orginally accepted it then demanded $8M the next day.

                    it doesn't matter.

whether they avoided fighting him or not.

even if guys did avoid him it won't make his resume better.

mayweather didn't want to fight cotto and margarito......doesn't make cotto or margarito better.
