Antonio Margarito vs. Joshua Clottey Rematch For 11/1?

I like the Margarito-Clottey fight. I think Clottey style matches up with Margaritos well and could beat him. The first one was close and I expect Clottey to be a better fighter the second time around. Cotto doesn't need to fight a guy like clottey just yet. He needs to work on his defence against uppercuts before fighting Clottey. Clottey likes to throw the uppercut and does it well.

Ok people not to discredit Joshua Clottey but I strongly believe that Margarito is a different fighter than what he was when these two last met. After the lost to Paul Williams we've seen a different and improved Margarito. I would love to see this unification bout happen, everybody is so caught up in the DLH thing... I know a fight with DLH would mean millions in Margarito's pockets but lets face it DLH is bitching out....Margarito's needs to work on unifying the belts...!

that's the same thing i was just thinking. Every seems to lie to themselves that clottey was going to win. Injury? a ****en brused knuckle cotto was easily outboxing margarito in the early rounds as well even more so then clottey was and we all know how that ended up

all fights where Clottey stopped punching in the middle of a fight letting his opponents back in the fight. Even with Chico the middle rounds he decided to let off the gas and let Chico actually gain a bit of steam whereas Clottey probably could have stepped it up and take Chico out of there.

the only difference in those fights was that Tony was able to keep coming due to his insane stamina. He kept the pressure going throughout the fight whereas the others couldn't keep the momentum going

and you seem so dismissive of the injuries Margarito sustained yet you weren't there when it happened. All through camp his hand was bugging him. We had a meet and greet with Tony at the beginning of his preparation for Clottey and as early as then he was saying the area behind his knuckles was hurting him but he kept on. He also rolled his ankle about two weeks out from the fight but short of the story David Avila broke he never said anything about it.

biggest difference between the two is that Clottey used his hands as an excuse while Tony by and large kept his injuries out of the spotlight

Clottey has major stamina issues in every fight whether he is pressed or not. Margarito will turn on the afterburners on this guy and make him a punching bag after a few rounds.

Sorry but I think Clottey is a worse fight for Margo than Williams. At least Margo knew Williams was withering, and Clottey is never ever gonna be hurt or knocked out. Clottey will probably outbox him like the first time, he showed he could take all of Margo's punches with no effect.

Margo's first step in unifiying the divishion....Williams is just going to have to wait. He holds a belt so in due time Marg will get to him, not less quintana fights williams and beats him again then williams is **** outta luck.
