Another thing is Tarver really only gained fat for Rocky, unlike Jones where he actually gained solid muscle and had to lose it all.
Roy Jones wasn't in his prime excuse debunked

Starting to think that Pelon is the worst poster on this entire board which is quite an achievement.
It isn't about Roy being past his prime it is about him being weight-drained as all ****. He totally ruined his body by trying to lose such a large amount of muscle in a short period of time. Prime for prime Roy makes Tarver look ******.Comment

Roy WON the first fight in which he was allegedly weight drained.
What happened in fights 2 and 3?
Those were long after the infamous "weight drain".
Prime for prime, Jones avoided Tarver.Comment

Roy Jones had went up to heavyweight and had to lose 25 pounds of muscle which wasn't easy to do for a man his age at the time.
Tarver was a lot more fresher meaning he had not been a pro nearly as long as Jones had been and didn't have nearly as many fights as Jones did.Comment

im sorry but you are wrong the fact he had to lose Muscle that he put on for Ruiz heavywieght fight is the cause you can still see the affects its had on him however its no longer an excuse
Why everybody got hate all the time just take it for what it isComment

You know why this excuse holds no weight?
JONES WON THE FIRST FIGHT.
Did Jones have a hw fight in between the first fight and the rematch that I'm unaware of? What about between the 2nd and 3rd fights?
Tarver was also a former crackhead.
I think thats what makes people mad the most, that this supposed "Superman", was on the receiving end of one of the most memorable KOs in boxing history.
Given by a crack head.Comment

What part of "he won the first fight", don't you understand?Comment

Jones did not avoid Tarver. They were scheduled to fight except Tarver went and lost to Eric Harding so Roy fought him instead.
He was not the same after cutting that weight. He was terrible in the first fight, he got lucky that Tarver only fought 5 rounds or he would have lost that one too. Say what you like, but if you think that the Jones post-Ruiz was even comparable to the man that demolished Woods, Reggie Johnson, Hall, Griffin, Telesco, Grant, Hill, etc. at LHW you are a certified moron.Comment

the second fight Tarver had his eyes closed it was a one punch wonder and the third fight roy just took it for the money he wasn't really that serious but even then Tarver looked to hesitant to fight cause he was scared the real jones would be backComment
