Jermain Taylor should fight this man, not Lacy.

If the majority of fight fans dont know Froch then they arent fight fans, they're casual fans. Fight fans know which the real legitimate matchup is.

Once again, it disturbs me when boxing fans start talking like promoters. Froch vs Taylor is one of the best fights to be made at 168.
Noone is dis*****g that Taylor-Froch would be a better matchup than Taylor-Lacy, but the business is driven by the $$$. It makes more business sense for the promoters, fighters and broadcasters to put Taylor-Lacy on rather than a fight with Froch. I think you are underestimating how much of an unknown Froch is outside of the UK.

This shows a lot of ignorance from Jermains camp. I'm not blaming Jermain for his fight with Lacy over Froch because the reality is he probably has very little to do with who his opponent will be.

The fact that he has the chance to fight for the most prestigious title after 2 losses, admittedly the second fight was close, and turning it down for a 'payday' is now becoming Boxings downfall. People want the best fights made possible, as it us fans that make boxing as big as it is, yet we are being ****ed over from the 'bigheads' that want nothing but the green.

When Froch beats Pascal for the vacant title, and Jermains camp come knocking, i hope Froch looks the other way to the likes of Kessler or Bute to teach them a lesson.

You don't understand that if TV doesn't want a fight, whats the sense in making the fight.
Until he fights some real guys? This must be some kind of joke right? I am sure that Froch as well as Mikkel Kessler has tried to get some yank name to share the ring with him. But they dont want to saying that Froch's an unknown.

How is he going to be well-known, when no name fighter will fight him? That's the harsh reality euro-fighters is presented with and that's a danm shame as well as it's hurting boxing. If the US-networks continues to only back the few known fighters the good deserving ones are left out to dry.

The US-networks fail to even try to create new stars. That'll haunt them when the old guard in Hopkins, RJJ, Holyfield (hmmm...) are retired for real. Then boxing might be in a void with only Pavlik left as a superstar.

That might be nice in terms of getting a great gut-feeling of sweet-revenge. But guess what? It aint gonna happen that way. Money's the name of the game and Taylor along with HBO brings the dough.

As soon as Taylor comes a-knockin', Froch comes a-hoppin'.

                  Definitely

we'll get to see Froch/Kessler down the line anyway.

American's just aren't into the 168 division, we'll see Taylor flip/flip between 160/175 with matches against fellow Americans.

Let them get on with it.

Not only that, but if Taylor's promoter is to be believed, if Jermain wins he will be Froch's mandatory for the WBC belt (assuming he beats Pascal), so Froch won't have a choice.
