Scott, the fight wasn't close. You know it, I know it, and even Margs fans know it. I'm looking for the press row scores, but I could care less what they thought. I'm looking at old posts from other forums, and 99.9% had Williams the clear winner. I'll look for the press row thoughts though.

I even read that Margs didn't land the harder shots either. The reports I'm reading from back then are that both were throwing hard shots early. Margs shots they said were harder late in the fight is what I'm reading because he was still trying to solve Williams speed early in the fight. I believe the rematch will be a whole lot closer and that Margs is capable of gaining revenge against Williams.

The BIGGE$T Money Fight out there is OBVIOUSLY the De La Hoya Bout & for a 15yr vet, the Iron-Chinned Brawler came up the hard way so he can't be BLAMED for actively pursuing a HUGE against Oscar!

As far as LEGACY & CLARITY (in 147lbs division) is concerned, that's a no-brainer that the WILLIAMS REMATCH NEEDS TO HAPPEN ASAP!

Arum Thoughts: Cotto just was beat, BUT IT happened to be another one of my upcoming fighters who needed the big break anyway, but the fight was so GOOD that Cotto doesn't lose 2 much respect and/or market value...I KNOW for numerous reasons that the WILLIAMS fight is the MOST MEANINGFUL fight, but it isn't the most LUCRATIVE fight! Williams beat my guy the last time & hell there is no GUARANTEE that he won't come in & do the same thing! Let's get him some tough, but WINNABLE fights that will further enhance his IMAGE & CREDIBILITY...

All to get HIM one step closer to the ULTIMATE BOUT against "Money" Mayweather!

Margarito was born in Torrance, California and lives in Tijuana. That's a lot closer to LA than Williams home of Aiken, South Carolina any way you look at it.

I had it a draw, and that's with Margarito either starting really slow or using a terrible strategy if he thought Williams would wear himself out. Margarito would beat Williams badly if they did it again...
