your a liar buddy! margarito won all of the rounds past the sixth excluding the 12th which cost him a draw. Give me a break! Funny you guys think williams mopped the floor with him. Tell me who was the guy holding and grasping for air in the tenth and eleventh round?

As is all of the talk about Williams holding on for dear life in the later rounds.

I like Floyd, never put him down in spite of my association with Margarito, and recognize his greatness. I truely enjoyed watching his run to 140 but to be honest at 147 he isn't the same fighter.
He isn't the same at 147? Nobody is going to be the same when fighting 3 weight classes higher than where they started. He still has all of his skill. He just isn't lightning quick as he used to be, but he is still faster than any fighter in the division.

Is that the same Dan Rafael who had Jermain Taylor up 6-0 before he got KO'd by Pavlik? Ok. Many of the ringside press had the fight a draw or Margarito winning. That is a fact. Go ahead and check. I actually agree with your score of about 7-5 Williams. But it wasn't the route some of the Margarito haters are playing it as. I would expect a rematch to be even closer.

damn sox, couldn't put better myself man. at this point with with margarito having beaten cotto its not a mater of if, but rather of when. arum is gonna let margarito enjoy some time in the spotlight before taking any risks. as far the fight itself i think that williams wont last in the rematch. the only things that williams has to his advantage is height, reach and volume punching which is kinda hard to overcome in a division such as the welterweight div. margarito at 147 has a way better chin and more power.

Scott, the fight wasn't close. You know it, I know it, and even Margs fans know it. I'm looking for the press row scores, but I could care less what they thought. I'm looking at old posts from other forums, and 99.9% had Williams the clear winner. I'll look for the press row thoughts though.

Fight was close. Fight was close like Bhop vs JT 1.
That's how close the fight was.

PWill won on volume, prettyness and effective ring generalship. He did not win more than 7 rounds though.

I had it a draw, and that's with Margarito either starting really slow or using a terrible strategy if he thought Williams would wear himself out. Margarito would beat Williams badly if they did it again...
