Margerito Groupies....be honest. Margerit would get humiliaed by Floyd, and I hope that Margerito would stop floyd as I hate him. However, Cotto was EASILY out boxing Margerito. What won the fight for margerito simply was his pressure vs a Cotto that is not use to boxing, not use to having to learn how to use ring generalship, cotto that retreated most of the time directly backwards took some shots, then moved laterlly.

You can not take anything from Margerito or his great fight plan to eventually weare Cotto down and out. In fact I like Margerito, a throw back fighter...However!!!!!

Cotto is not as fast as Mayweather
Cotto is not as good defensively as Mayweather
Cotto does not counter punch as good as Mayweather
Cotto can not box as good as Mayweather,
Cotto does not have the jaw that Mayweather has
Cotto is not use to using lateral movement as much as Mayweather is
Cotto does not know how to use ring generalship like Cotto does
Cotto is not as accurate as Mayweather
Cotto does not have the reach the Mayweather has
Finally no one including Cotto has the stamina or is in as good as shape as Mayweather is.

The only thing Cotto has on mayweather is brutality, hard punching and wearing his opponents down, and none of those attributes would serve either him or Mayweather good vs the beast in Margerito. It is simply boxing, speed, counters, lateral movment and stamina. Look at how Cotto was outboxing Margerito, had he been a little bit better and better defensivly hmmmmmmm.

However, I do agree Mayweather should quit acting like a B%&tch and fight margerito. Even though I think he would win, a easy boxing match, well not easy, but he would clearly outbox Margerito, he needs to show it. I applaud Kellerman for what he did. He directly called Mayweather out, and Marerito should be doing the same.

Once Floyd Mayweather understood there is really just people wanting him to lose, who beg him to comeback and most his fans, although willing to see him again, but conscious it wouldn't be at his best so we don't press him. I find it so funny they say the WW division is packed, but one black guy (the only one EVER if i recall correctly) had the audacity to do what many white dudes had done before, retire undefeated they can't live with it. hahahaha it's funny and kinda embarrassing. I studied that in social studies btw...

People are not thinking race here, they are thinking Mayweather who has the loudest mouth in boxing since Ali, (who I loved) Mayweather has great great skills, all the tools, but yet and still he did not fight the best at welterweight division...Cotto, margerito, Williams......He beat old dlh, judah who is beat by everyone, Hatton who never proved anythig at welter, and Baldomir who i do not need to address.

Those are the facts. It is not about race at all. Its about young fighters, fighters who deserve the right to fight the best and Mayweather who is self procalimed the best ever (* bull). Funny how fighters like dlh, pacquio, ali, robinson, Leonard, duran, all fought the best.....Mayweather is dammm good, but has clearly avoided the best at welterweight.

Any chance of Mayweather fighting Margarito flew out the window with that performance against Cotto.

Mayweather did very well at the lower weights where he had a ridiculous reach advantage over nearly every opponent he fought. But when he began to move up to his natural weight fighting guys his size, he really began to cherry-pick his fights, and tip-toed around the toughest fights.

He retired with a lot of questions unanswered, a lot of prime, hungry dangerous fighters calling his name. His toughest fights were ahead of him. That will pretty much be his legacy.
