That is exactly what Max said...**** I could'nt believe it myself when I heard it last night. Whether Max was goaded into saying that or not (if he wasn't goaded don't be surprised if HBO scraps his ass for it, but I doubt it) he said it per vatim. IMO Mayweather should come out if not for the last time. He might not ever please the masses should he come out and fight Marg but this definitely would help him cement his reign. Who knows.

Those are the facts. It is not about race at all. Its about young fighters, fighters who deserve the right to fight the best and Mayweather who is self procalimed the best ever (* bull). Funny how fighters like dlh, pacquio, ali, robinson, Leonard, duran, all fought the best.....Mayweather is dammm good, but has clearly avoided the best at welterweight.
Of all fighting sports none is so much about race than boxing. It's fun to an extent too. One should not be afraid to speak about race and others, not knowing other races leads to ignorance and hate, and yes allot of Floyd's hatred is about race. He is not the nicest person, but if he was white he would be seen as bold, daring, cool, brave, you know what i mean. It's like in the movies, black actors who act as supporting characters are hugely sucessful and loved by all. But black superheros don't do so well, specially if they are not Ghandi. It's kinda natural, i don't blame anyone. Myweather avoided the best at WW because he doesn't feel he belongs there. Oscar towered Mayweather. Ask yourself, would Cotto or Margarito go up to middleweight, win tittles there and stay there? How long and how good of an indicator would that be? The great ones you mentioned ended up having some losses on their resume which didn't mean anything, like old Robbinson at middleweight but Mayweathr chose not to do so. He feels he's done great and he even helped boxing's promotions with the DLH fight, dancing with the stars, WWE. He actually helped boxing. You can thank Aurm, King, Warner and the other pimps boxing's current condition. Bad matchmaking and milking out fighters like Cotto who clearly had shown vulnerabilities in his greatest fights just so they can make them a couple more millions, didn't help to. Now the best resort HBO can think of is trying to lure Mayweather out of retirement. I have no doubts the Kellerman callout was scripted. They are desperate because they know a fighter with 5 losses won't sell to the general dumb public and they need a star. Had they treated some of their real stars right, they might have had something.

Yeah, all of these racial comments have no place in boxing. But Max definitely wants Mayweather to fight Margo, he seemed kinda pissed at Floyd for ducking the best at WW.

Max Kellerman has always been my favorite commentator since FNF, but he was slowly turning into a nut hugger and I didnt have as much love for him lately.

Well last night what he said was absolutely true. Floyd does need to comeback to seal his legacy. I think he is a Floyd fan and wants Floyd to go down as one of the greatest ever. I think the blogs and rumblings talking about him have finally got to him. This is what Kellerman has always done, and that is tell it like it should be told.

Max Kellerman is the ****. He just has to kiss a little ass and be a company guy. But he is still the coolest and one of the most intelligent young guys in boxing.

          WAR MAX!!!!!

Kellerman has lost all credibility now.

During the Cotto-Gomez / Maragito Cintron broadcast he was asked straight up by Manny Stewart that if Floyd chose not to fight Cotto or Margarito would Kellerman still consider him the top WW in the world and Kellerman flat out said YES, he would still consider Floyd the #1 WW in the world even if he didn't fight the top guys.

Kellerman is now nothing but a mouthpiece for HBO.

This is why they forced Larry Merchant out and put Kellerman in there. He'll end up being another Lampley.

Merchant took **** from nobody and told it like it was.

Lets start with Delahoya who has always looked a fearless champion he has always looked for the biggest baddest challenge he can find. After watching Margarito destroy Cotto, Delahoya is looking for the smallest challenge physically at least in philipino boxer Manny pacquiao, guy who came from fly weight upto light weight still not at a welter weight. Now Mayweather Jr. Floyd retired ostensibly his stated reason is that his legacy is secured and he has nothing left to prove. While this is true of the light weight classes at welter weight the preception is that you did not take on your toughest challenges and in fact ducked them. Antonio Margarito after that performance against Miguel Cotto people are talking in barbershops, street corners, around the country and in Mexico, floyd mayweather not only doesnt want to fight mar he can't beat him. Floyd if you retire cause you feel your legacy is secure you need to unretire to secure if on the other hand if you retired because you interest in boxing has wained in that case stay retired cause no one with one foot in boxing and one foot out should take on the welter weight champion of the world.

I took that straight from the mouth of kellerman word for word or as close as I could while typing and listening to Kellerman. For you guys that missed it last night.
damn Kellerman got some balls now.......I like that in him, and if im Floyd i gotta respond to those remarks

but if Floyd responds in anyway...the demand for this fight continues and skyrockets.............so Floyd might be quiet unfortunately

He only meant that he considered him #1 because he had the lineal title. Not that he beat the best. No one in their right mind would suggest Mayweather fought the best at welterweight, or in any division above 130 for that matter...
