be kinda a ***** move not to take this
after all the **** he talked bout floyd turnin down 8 to fight him
plus he says how its all bout respect and this n that
and thats why oscar should fight him
    he wants respect
he better go avenge his loss
u dont lose in the minor leagues "paul williams" then go try to play in the big leagues "DLH"
So should he go back and avenge all his losses? Is it even realistic that a fighter lose in some time of his career and not have to go back and avenge his losses? Just posing a question...whats your thoughts on this and why do you feel this pertains to Marg only?

I agree with this 100%, and I give a slight edge to Williams should they rematch. Do you think it would be a different fight though if Margarito adjusts and starts faster, Joe?

According to PPV their reach was identical somewhere around 53 1/2 measuring from the middle of their necks to the tip of their fingers.

Mayweather got paid much more for Baldomir than he would have for Margo. He got a base of $8,000,001 plus the PPV revenues. Learn the business. He made over ten mil. Additionally, he shut Arum out.

Also, you change the DLH figures every time you post. It's hilarious. It was clear to everybody (including Fortune mag) how much FMJ made.
I am gonna burn you with some figures about the Floyd vs DLH fight.

Mayweather made 8 million guaranteed and DLH made 12 million guaranteed.

Floyd made 18-19. Check this link out though and see for yourself

              2) Are you referring to 2005? Wasn't Floyd at 140 through june for the gatti fight? So, to be clear, you are saying that Margarito, who had a belt at 147, wanted to fight a 140er. Is that what you are saying?

Um, yeah. I followed boxing back then. Hook me up with a link. Thanks.
I think this states things very clearly. Remember, Arum was promoting Mayweather back in 2005...

Arum and Diaz say that the 'Pretty Boy' was offered in the neighborhood of $7 million to face Margarito. In what could best be described as a 'business move', the same guy who brazenly challenged the bigger Winky Wright decided to bypass Margarito, to collect nearly $4 million to spar with Sharmba Mitchell.

"Flat turned him down like you can not believe," Arum said of Mayweather when he was offered a chance at the WBO title. "Any time we raised his name, Mayweather went crazy."

Could it be that Mayweather will never get in the ring with him?

"I don't know, you never say never," said Arum last week in Los Angeles, where he was in town for Klitschko's open workout with the media. "Floyd is a very proud guy. The more people talk about all these guys ducking Margarito, of anybody, Floyd is the one who'll step up and say,'I'll face him'. He's a ballsy guy but his people have told him that Margarito is the most dangerous guy for him out there."

Arum also lied to Mayweather that there isnt enough money in a fight with Oscar for him to pay Mayweather $20m....and guess what happens? Mayweather made more than 20m for the oscar fight.

HBO bring Mayweather up to sell Margarito Fact!
Actually, there was no guarantee at the point that he would ever get the Oscar fight.

Secondly, no one in their right mind expected the fight to get 2.2 million buys. NO ONE!

It was a good business move for Mayweather, but it was a ****ty one for the fans and for his legacy...

It could be, Jab. But the difference in hand speed and the reach will still cause problems for Margarito IMO. But Margarito starting faster could work for him. But it really has never been Margarito's style in any of his fights.

He doesn't start up super fast but he usually invests in body work and throwing punches and he didnt do that at all in the first fight.

If this is the biggest payday he can make he should take it.

                    • Tony don't want it with Williams. Only excuse for not fighting him is fighting Oscar, for money. If he fights someone else,it will show he don't want Williams
