Why Calzaghe deserves more respect around here.

I rate figthers based on their ability to make fights exciting, and besides from Muhammed Ali, I don't think there is anyone like Joe Calzaghe.

Why does everybody rate Dawson and Pavlik so highly? Dawson has only beaten one person of note in Johnson and struggled doing it. The worst thing about that performance is that Johnson was 15yrs his senior. People get on Calzaghe's back for fighting old man Hopkins, but the age difference between them is only 6yrs. Calzaghe is no spring chicken himself.

Pavlik is a good fighter and would look good on Calzaghe's resume. However, when I watch him I don't feel as if I watching a great fighter. I believe Pavlik has a style that would play into Calzaghe's hands, just like Kessler's did.

I'm just simply stating that with you all crying just fuels the fire and shows the HATERS that Joe is nothing but an average joe and that if he was anything other, you all wouldn't have to defend him 24/7-365!

I'm not a fan of Joe nor do I RESPECT anything he has EVER really done in the ring. I just see a guy that touches other guys for 12 rounds looking to win by points without ever looking that tired. That is actually impressive, the not getting tired part. AND If he were to ever BOX in the Olympics, I think he would be THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. HE WOULD OUT TOUCH EVERYONE and WIN every fight, because that's how he fights "OLYMPIC STYLE" Which is why I do not and will not EVER like his style. But if he walks threw Jones by a UD and Fights Pavlik (NOT WIN BUT JUST FIGHTS) I will pay my respects. It wont be that much, but it will be more than I have for him now. I think MANY will have the same feelings if this does happen. I don't think there would be any other way to look at it, besides Joe getting his credit. fair?
