    3) They still cheer for him when he is fighting. He may not be their fav mexican fighter, but he's still one of them.

    4) True, but I'm really only looking at this from ODLH's point of view.

    5) He will lose and lose badly if he trades with Marg. Is that how he wants to be remembered?

    6) Oscar will make $'s regardless of who he fights.

    7) Or it is likely that the opposite could happen.
just nail it !!!! cotto vs dlh will be the best boxing match .... and wtf happen to the butt thread!? i dunno why ppl want see dlh get hurt with margarito?

      3. Number 2 is the answer.

      5. Win or lose, if he puts up a good fight fans will remember him fondly.

      6. True.

      7. Doubtful.
      1) Which is why when Oscar said he wanted to fight the best he meant Floyd, not Tony.

      5) The only chance he has to win is to box in which case he won't be remembered fondly. He tries to trade I'd say the chances of him getting stopped are pretty good, in which case he won't be remembered fondly.

The best is no longer Mayweather, the best at or around his weightclass is Margarito, if he wants to keep his word of fighting the best, he should fight Margarito. He can't exactly be picky about who's the best.

Do you think when Oscar made that comment he really had Margarito in mind?

He said it, he can't be picky about who's the best, I don't care who he had in mind.

At this stage in his career, Oscar is the definition of picky. He, more so than anyone else in boxing, can pick and choose who he wants to fight.

He can be picky but he shouldn't have said the things he said then.

Meh, I just can't think of a good reason why he should fight the guy. It's not good for Oscar, and it's not good for the sport.
