What I find hilarious is Cotto and Margarito are both ahead of Williams, even though Williams beat Margarito and avenged his only loss in one round.

No I said earlier in this thread that having Hopkins at 4 is ridiculous. He isn't a full-time fighter subject to the same schedule as everyone else. It's because of his connections to Golden Boy and that alone that has him ranked so high.

My point has been that Arthur Abraham, with his two biggest victories coming against Edison Miranda, doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the conversation because he's not even the best fighter in his division. He hasn't even made an attempt to rectify that situation.

Where is Paul Williams? Why is Paul Williams ranked below Antonio Margarito when he beat him?

Then how come he's fighting in october?

Personally I have Bernard at 8 on my list, but Hopkins was at 4 due to beating Winky Wright (who was 4 at the time). Then Calzaghe, #5 at time, beats Bernard. Bernard drops to 5, Calzaghe goes ahead to #3. Mayweather retires. Then Pacquiao moves to 1, Calzaghe to two, etc.

Everyone moves up a place. It's not bias because Hopkins at 5 before Golden Boy owned The Ring.

Williams narrowly edged out Margarito and won against a guy who beat him when he was supposedly a fringe contender. This is despite Williams holding massive advantages in size which would preclude him from the p4p lists. If Williams is not considerably bigger than his opponent he has no advantages over them. Margarito does.

Margarito will rematch Williams and win.

Ok, now lets think this through. Ok so were dealing with a know it all kid here quite clearly watches too much tv, so I'll be kind...

              Europe does not = Germany.

Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.

              That's all.
I watch too much TV, I skateboard too much, I play basketball too much. There is just so much time in the day, I know. I'll mind my schedule and you do the same.

Don't be kind, I have thick skin. Don't hold back because that would detract from any points we may unveil through the process of debate. Wouldn't you agree?

Other than that filler talk, your only point was that I named three fighters who happened to be from Germany, and that Europe does not consist solely of Germany. Still, your point doesn't reach any conclusions and a link to Wikipedia is meaningless since I already have the site bookmarked.

              Anything else, wanker boy?

So he's a full-time fighter, even though he's been on the semi-retired circuit of fighting once a year in PPV special attraction fights since losing twice to Jermain Taylor?

I agree Hops should be lower, but the corruption with Goldenboy is just cynical and not backed up. ODL may own Ring by he has no weight over p4p, things aren't that corrupt.

Arthur Abraham is #2 in the division, and hasn't fought the #1, so whose to say he's not the best for cert? He hasn't made an attempt to rectify the situation, like it's some kind of problem only some fighters have? He's called out Pavlik on national American tv and Pavlik hasn't even responded so if the onus is on anyone it's Pavlik. If that's not trying to rectify I don't know what is.

Why isn't Victor Luis Lozoya ranked higher than Margarito?

Since Marg lost to Williams in a razor thin decision he has put together three impressive stoppage wins against increasingly better opposition including the ranked number one. I would guess that in the opinion of the Ring's staff Margarito has the beating of Williams in a rematch.

How do you know that Oscar has no influence over the rankings? Because he said so? When contemplating things like this, corporate bias and the such, a degree of skepticism goes a long way to looking past the hype.

You become the number one guy...

When you beat the number one guy. Kelly Pavlik by knocking out Taylor became the number one guy.
