What I find hilarious is Cotto and Margarito are both ahead of Williams, even though Williams beat Margarito and avenged his only loss in one round.

My point has been that Arthur Abraham, with his two biggest victories coming against Edison Miranda, doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the conversation because he's not even the best fighter in his division. He hasn't even made an attempt to rectify that situation.

Where is Paul Williams? Why is Paul Williams ranked below Antonio Margarito when he beat him?
No I said earlier in this thread that having Hopkins at 4 is ridiculous. He isn't a full-time fighter subject to the same schedule as everyone else. It's because of his connections to Golden Boy and that alone that has him ranked so high.
Personally I have Bernard at 8 on my list, but Hopkins was at 4 due to beating Winky Wright (who was 4 at the time). Then Calzaghe, #5 at time, beats Bernard. Bernard drops to 5, Calzaghe goes ahead to #3. Mayweather retires. Then Pacquiao moves to 1, Calzaghe to two, etc.
Everyone moves up a place. It's not bias because Hopkins at 5 before Golden Boy owned The Ring.Last edited by warp1432; 07-29-2008, 06:41 PM.

Ok, now lets think this through. Ok so were dealing with a know it all kid here quite clearly watches too much tv, so I'll be kind...
Europe does not = Germany.
www.wikipedia.org
That's all.
Don't be kind, I have thick skin. Don't hold back because that would detract from any points we may unveil through the process of debate. Wouldn't you agree?
Other than that filler talk, your only point was that I named three fighters who happened to be from Germany, and that Europe does not consist solely of Germany. Still, your point doesn't reach any conclusions and a link to Wikipedia is meaningless since I already have the site bookmarked.
Anything else, wanker boy?

Arthur Abraham is #2 in the division, and hasn't fought the #1, so whose to say he's not the best for cert? He hasn't made an attempt to rectify the situation, like it's some kind of problem only some fighters have? He's called out Pavlik on national American tv and Pavlik hasn't even responded so if the onus is on anyone it's Pavlik. If that's not trying to rectify I don't know what is.

Since Marg lost to Williams in a razor thin decision he has put together three impressive stoppage wins against increasingly better opposition including the ranked number one. I would guess that in the opinion of the Ring's staff Margarito has the beating of Williams in a rematch.

You become the number one guy...
When you beat the number one guy. Kelly Pavlik by knocking out Taylor became the number one guy.
