When Arum offered Mayweather the chance to fight Cotto, he cowardly declined.

In the ring, like a true champion, Margarito fearlessly keeps coming forward, hardly taking a backwards step.

In the ring, "Chicken" Floyd runs from his opponents like a frightened little girl.

TUNNEY, stick what you know, praising white fighters.

He's was and always will be a 147 pounder. Why should he go up in weight when he easily makes 147 and doesn't have to. You'll have to go back to the early 1980's when "Hands of Stone" was in his Welterweight prime to find someone who might have been able to puncture the granite chin of Antonio Magarito.

When a fighter is drained to make the weight & it effects his performance he goes up a weight class. This has not happened with Antonio. He has no trouble making the weight so his fighting weight is 147.

            no foul no harm

even if Wlad want to go down at 147 to fight will it his problem to do so.

as long as there is contract and agreement nobody could stop you fighting in certain weightclass

No one "clearly" won, it was very close - a lot of people thought Margarito won the fight.

He has excellent offensive skills. He knows how to break down an opponent's defense, and he throws punches from all different angles.

He fought Paul Williams who is a much bigger man with the same reach as Wladimir Klitschko, 81". The fighter who really is guilty of weight cutting to fight little guys, is Williams.

Floyd Mayweather fought smaller opponents from 130 to 140 most of his career, despite being a natural welterweight. His last hand-picked opponent, Ricky Hatton was shorter by 3" and had 20" arms compared to Floyd's 26" arms. Floyd has refused to fight anyone his own size, except for past-prime fighters like De La Hoya and Baldomir.

Anyone who thought Margarito won that fight, doesn't know how to score. Post your scorecard, with a detailed round by round and why you gave each round to each fighter.

I like how blame Williams but not marg. Marg is a true warrior, fighting guys much smaller than him. Don't tangent this to Mayweather or Williams, deny this basic fact: Marg doesn't fight guys his own size. PERIOD.

The mayweather comment at 130 is hilarious. not going to waste time with that one.

Margarito has minimal skills. Even on offense. That's called workrate. He can throw punches at odd angles. Whooop de do. Most fighters can throw various punches. It's called being a pro boxer. the only reason his land, are because he throws so many of them.

Why are these replies so one dimensional?
Oh yeah, the topic is one dimensional.
There's way more to what went on then either side is giving credence to.
Mayweather can't stand Arum and doesn't want to do business with him.
Arum has Cotto and Margs so that wouldn't happen.
                  Daniel Santos didn't cream Margarito.
SSM wanted no part of either Margs or Mayweather.

This is just the start of what's wrong with this thread.

A lot of you guys are playing the same note only on different instruments.

This is coming from a guy who puts Oscar Delahoya on his avatar.Anybody who watches the last 4 rounds of Delahoya-Trinidad as an Oscar fan can't buy the right to call Mayweather a "*****". You better get some cjones and admit that too.
