Margarito is number #1 no doubt.

As WBO champ, Tony took on whoever was put in front of him. He took a dangerous fight against Williams and wound up losin cuz givin the top contender his shot was more important than a $ fight (Cotto). As IBF champ, he just won the ****in belt when he had to give it up to get the true WW title fight wit Cotto. Based on that and the class he always shows Tony is the better champ. Of course that changes if he don't rematch P-Will.

Why do you and Margarine fear Paul Williams?

Oh yeah, the topic is one dimensional.
There's way more to what went on then either side is giving credence to.
Mayweather can't stand Arum and doesn't want to do business with him.
Arum has Cotto and Margs so that wouldn't happen.
          Daniel Santos didn't cream Margarito.
SSM wanted no part of either Margs or Mayweather.

This is just the start of what's wrong with this thread.

A lot of you guys are playing the same note only on different instruments.
You're right Jreck. But your thoughts are too logical for some people. Some of the Margarito fans are too ignorant to just accept that Margarito won and leave it at that. They have to fabricate story's about how "cotto quit" "Mayweather is scared of Cotto" The only reason why Williams beat Margarito was because Margarito" started to slow" "Cotto was brutalized" even though is was just a TKO with Cotto on his feet......It never ends.

Margarito was forced to fight Williams by the WBO. So don't go telling that lie again. I'll gladly post the history of that fight if you dare try to deny it.

He has excellent offensive skills. He knows how to break down an opponent's defense, and he throws punches from all different angles.

He fought Paul Williams who is a much bigger man with the same reach as Wladimir Klitschko, 81". The fighter who really is guilty of weight cutting to fight little guys, is Williams.

Floyd Mayweather fought smaller opponents from 130 to 140 most of his career, despite being a natural welterweight. His last hand-picked opponent, Ricky Hatton was shorter by 3" and had 20" arms compared to Floyd's 26" arms. Floyd has refused to fight anyone his own size, except for past-prime fighters like De La Hoya and Baldomir.

Sometimes it's stunning how ignorant you are. Mayweather started at 130. How the hell does that make him a "natural welterweight?" Chico Corrales was a 6 foot jr lightweight. Phillip N'dou was 6 foot at 135. Hatton ballons up to 180 between fights but Mayweather is the" natural welterweight?" The only thing you're good at doing is embellishing the careers of white fighters.
