If Mayweather were to come back and fight Margarito..

You are absolutely correct wouldn't and didn't are two different things, there is a video on here of Margarito challenging Mayweather, and Mayweather saying this is a business. He didn't ever want to be the best 147 fighter. He showed it through actions.Because "wouldn't" and "didn't" are two completely different phrases. He didn't, but unless somebody is actually Floyd Mayweather and can speak of his intentions then we're all on the outside looking in and I'm not about to speculate on it.
With the exception of Margarito's win over Cotto and Williams' win over Margarito, there haven't been any other "big" welterweight fights that aren't tainted by recent losses and things of the like.
Have you ever heard the old saying ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THEN WORDS. He could have cleaned up the division took out any contenders including this easy Margarito fight, but he didn't/wouldn't. The biggest name in the division he could have fought anyone, there were plenty of fighters foaming at the mouth for him.Comment

Mosley? Since his losses to Winky he hadn't done anything of actual relevance at Welterweight, if that's the type of discussion we're still going to have. DLH controversy? There is no legitimate controversy, anybody who thinks DLH won the fight shouldn't be allowed to score fights. The Margarito discussion about 8mil this and duck that have been beaten to death. What about Shane? He has always been around. Why not rematch DLH and take away any controversy? Margarito and Cotto have been around the entire time. Both offered challenges to Mayweather(though I'd say Cotto wasn't ready til this year, ironically when Mayweather retired) Clottey has always floated around the top 10. These guys have been around for years. You are apparently a newer fan and that is cool but buff up on your history before you tell other fans whats what. Williams is the only new one on the scene really and even he has had hype for a while now.
We're detracting ridiculously far from the original point, and I wont do that as it ruins almost every thread in NSB.
Bottom line for me in this discussion: Floyd, by way of skill he had show time and time again would beat Cotto or Margarito, despite being smaller. He had a resume that is infinitely better than both of theirs despite most of his wins being at lower weights.
If anybody wants to believe that Floyd retired out of fear or an attempt to duck one or both of them then there's nothing I can do or say that will convince them otherwise.Comment

He did. And he chose the path to $$$. You can hate him for it, but that doesn't somehow make him some welterweight fraud. It means he didn't give a lot of boxing fans fights we wanted to see in hindsight, but certainly did at the time.Comment

It means hes mad because we're spitting that truth. Red K is his way of telling his big brother all while saying na na na na na!
I could care less either, its just the thought though.Comment

You still have yet to dispute my point, at what point has he proven he can beat these 147 pounders. Margarito still wants a piece and based on that I have to go with the Margarito in the win. It is obvious that Floyd is scared, that is an auto L if you ask me. You are the one that dragged this argument around to floyd being god not us, no one can beat him, and then you red k me, what the hell?Mosley?
