    Cotto did not quit!!!!!!!!!

DID HE SAY "I QUIT" TO THE REF????

If so, I must've missed it.

Did he take a knee??? Yes but that isn't quitting. He could of done it to take a breather or because he was sensing that the ref was about to stop it. It wasn't quitting.

From what I saw, he got back up on his feet and it was his corner who threw in the towel. Did he have a look of resignation on his face? Yes but that isn't quitting.

    So Stop the Nonsense.

    No, he didn't.

He took 2 knees, he looked resigned, beaten, weary, battered or whatever else you want to call it but he was willing to fight on if his corner had not stepped in, he wouldn't have bothered getting up before Bayless finished his count if he wasn't willing.

      Exactly.

So while he wasn't all anxious to continue (which is natural) and get back out there to take more punishment, he wasn't quitting either.

Didn't you see him look at his corner with puppy dog eyes though?

I find that **** to be the funniest thing here....the losers talking about Cotto looking to his corner and urging them up onto the ring to stop the fight because of "the look on his face". The only look on Cotto's face was that of a guy who had been in a war for 10.5 rounds.

There was no quit in Cotto last night.

You're not seeing the conclusion in your own comments... he took knees... he had a look of resignation on his face... so you're admitting that he LOOKED like he WANTED to quit, and was ACTING like he wanted to quit... but he didn't quit?

Has he come out and criticized his corner for stopping the fight?

Actually he did, I just saw the entire fight over again and if you look at the last moments of the fight, Cotto clinches Marg on one side of the ring, the ref breaks them apart and then Marg without even throwing one punch, Cotto takes a knee.

Then he looks at his corner who is waiving the towel TO Cotto as if to say, "Should I throw it in" and Cotto nods his head slightly as if to say "I have had enough."

Look at it closely and you will see, the corner never physically threw the towel in they just waived it at Cotto to see if it was ok to throw it in and Cotto nodded in approval.

No way did he quit. He was taking a knee to try and give himself maximum time to get himself right and his corner made the correct decision to end the fight and stop him taking any more punishment. No way did he quit. End of.

THANK YOU, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one to see Cotto nod at his corner. It was subtle, but he definitely nodded in acknowledgement that he was willing to stop.

He didn't even look at his corner until his uncle was on the apron, towel in hand, your corner is not allowed to step onto the apron when a fight is going on, which means Cotto's trainer was up on the apron to tell the referee to stop the fight.

He nods his head accepting the decision by his corner but he was willing to fight on.

Why do people not understand this? If a fighter is willing to fight on, how does it mean he quit?

Even if he did quit, he still got bigger balls than 99.9% of the people that will criticize him.

I don't understand how anybody can criticize a guy that went balls to the wall like that. If you guys are gonna criticize Cotto's performance then just stop watching boxing period because this sport is not for you.

                    Fact.
