It seems that there is a good proportion of posters who didnt actually watch the fight.
The answer to the poll is NO, Cotto DID NOT QUIT.
His corner threw the towel in, which is NOT the same thing. Cotto never said to the ref ... NO MAS, i cant go on, help me please etc etc. He had taken some awful punishment, was losing the fight and his corner knew this and showed some compassion.
In light of Diaz being hospitalised last week its a fairly respectful decision by the corner IMO.
So once again, from someone who actually watched the fight, lets put this to bed now eh? COTTO DID NOT QUIT.
