That is true that is why you cannot really call Nonito a Filipino fighter he is a Filpine americano.

He's filipino by law, ethnically and his nationality is filipino. He tryed on for the US team because he lived there he had no option to try out for the filipino team.

Isn't Donaire actually Filipino-American? I forget. But yeah, I believe this also to be honest. I mean right now a lot of promoters are trying so hard to get the next Pacman. Even Bob Arum announced Bernabe Concepcion as the next Manny Pacquiao when introducing him for his fight tonight. I highly doubt that. The guy has speed and decent power but his chin lacks and his overall fire and determination lacks. Forget just Filipino boxing, a guy like Pacquiao comes around once in a generation. How many other fighters at the elite level come at you with such ferocity and aggression like Pacquiao does? That's generally a no no when learning boxing as far as leaving yourself open, but Pacquiao has gotten so good at moving in and out with these crazy combos that he's comfortable being a madman in there. Won't see that again for a long time...

Oh yeah and back on to the finding the next Manny Pacquiao. It's like all them promoters are searching so hard to find the next big thing that they are picking up any boxer from the Ph. that they hear is decent. But that's just it. They are decent and none of them have that something special that will get them to the elite level. Then it's like promoters are pushing it down the Filipinos throats that this guy or that guy is the next Pacquiao to try getting them into the guy to make a buck off him in the future. Sadly they never get to see that point of really big bucks.

There is no world-class trainer from the Philippines.

Only the extremely talented fighters come out on top without the benefit of a world-class trainer.

                    ALA boys are being wasted.
