SO you trot out the numbers and now you say you don't believe them.
Um. ok.
I agree with Compubox being full of **** sometimes but why base an argument on something you don't even believe yourself, (the punch numbers)?Comment

Missing punches and boxing and missing shots in basketball have nothing in common. A boxer who throws a large volume of punches keeps his opponent on the defensive. Missing shots in b-ball more often than not gives the other team possession of the ball. I'll repeat, it is an idiotic comparison. People who rely on punch stats are usually those who don't really know how to watch fights. They are counted by a person, and aren't nearly as accurate as tabulating basketball stats. You can call those numbers "factual". It's no more accurate than you claiming that you aren't dissing Margarito when this thread is obviously dedicated to exactly that. Its idiotic if you know nothing about boxing or understand that having a high percentage in anything is usually a good thing especially sports. Margarito just throws punches he doesnt try and be accurate, to me thats the sign of someone who isnt that skilled but uses offense as defense in a way. But you do what you have to do to win fights and I give him credit for realizing his strengths and weaknesses. His strengths are his chin and his stamina so he throws many punches and puts constant pressure on his opponent which is smart in his case. I only posted factual stats and still some dummy had to resort to namecalling as if Im pulling numbers out of thin air. Nobody's dissing Marg, its facts.Comment

Translation: Punch stats are only accurate when they serve your purpose.Comment
