I'm picking Cotto by UD or Margarito's corner will throw in the towel late.
People here argue that Margarito throws 150 punches a round. Thats only when he has nothing to worry about. From what I've seen he slows down a LOT when he has something coming back at him. And I think Cotto is the last person he would want to charge with looping punches over and over.
I will be surprise if Margarito comes out boxing and using his reach and size advantage to a full degree. Tony is not used to that kind of style. Same reason Paul Williams could outbox Margarito and take an early advantage in their fight.
This fight is THE FIGHT we have been waiting for...

All this Compubox stuff doesn't mean anything. Both fighters' records doesn't mean a
What it comes down to is heart and who is willing to give it all in the ring. Margarito will die before he lets Cotto knock him out. Cotto better be prepared to fight all night and not one second less. The only way Cotto wins is if he runs. Margarito will be on him all night like white on rice. Cotto better get a metal plate on that chin.

If anyone scores a late KO it will be Cotto? Huh? Care to expound buddy? I look at how Cotto ran (err) finsihed late against Mosley and he faded. I don't know if Shane hit him with something he didn't like but I fault Shane for not pressing and throwing the right. I still had Mosley winning, but I digress.
Meanwhile when Margarito fought Williams he was MUCH stronger than Paul in the later rounds. Williams threw about 1,500 punches to keep Margarito off of him and Tony finished STRONG. MAYBE Cotto's body/head attack will be harder than Williams but he won't throw anywhere near the amount of punches Williams threw.
This is a 4-7 round fight. A straight right and left uppercut will end Miguel Cotto's night sometime between rounds 4 and 7. This is NOT a good match-up for Miguel Cotto. I don't know what everyone is not understanding about this. Guess you ALL will have to find out on Saturday nite.

This fight is all hype...cant wait for the excuses next week...there are bigger fish to fry than margarito out there and Cotto has the frypan.
theres at least a half dozen on Cottos defeated list that could account for Margarito...but full respect for him having a go against Cotto...its not like hes doing it for the money...pffft
But honestly hope its a great fight and good luck to both men.

[QUOTE=fighterforjc;3808663]Whoever made the comment "look at their records" is a complete ignorant. This will be an EASY fight for Margarito. Cotto can't even hurt Malignaggi or Mosley. The only way Margarito loses is if he falls over from laughing at how weak Cotto's punches are. Cotto will get beaten in a brutal, humiliating fashion and get knocked out senseless.
lmfaoooooo!!! Dude get off those pills/drugs, theyre doing a # on you!
