    Bernard Hopkins is a phenom

Bernard Hopkins is a phenom ,he has not deteriorated that much even at the age of 43 he is still relatively quick well id say he is quicker than Kelly Pavlik anyway he has not showed any signs that he is any easier to hurt which is usually the case when fighters get old SRL etc, and his reflexes dont seem to have deteriorated that much infact Dela Hoya & Mosley reflexes look more shot than Hopkins when u watch their fights with Cotto ,Forbes and they are a lot younger compared to Ber-Nard

the only thing that has badly deteriorated is his stamine his ability to maintain over the coarse of 12 rounds infact i dont think Taylor or Calzaghe would of beaten him otherwise

Yeah, If he had fought fot the distance in those 3 fights he would have won them all. With Taylor I think it was a case of starting too early, but oh well. He is incedible, I mean he is 43 and is compeating (And beating some) P4P level fighters. He beat Tarver and Winky back to back before losing a razor thin decision imo, to the second best P4P fighter in the world.

That is damn impressive. Even to those who hate him, it should be

He got outhustled by Calzaghe, he certainly fought a better fight though. Calzaghe had a bit of a shocker with the benefit of hindsight.

It is very impressive that Hopkins can compete at such a high level at his age, although he did look his age towards the end of the Calzaghe fight.

Yea. I think that 43 years is catching up with him. Especially going into the late rounds with top level fighters.

However, it is impressive that he is very competative with very good younger fighters at 43. Even though some like to critisize the way he fights, I like his fights.

best quote i heard about Hopkins was from Larry Merchant when he said something like Hopkins used be a Lion now he is more like a lion that hide in the weeds ,something to that effect anyway

he gave Dela Hoya at least 5 rounds before he decided to start fighting aswell, as he did with Taylor

                  I think the quote was:

"Hopkins used to be a young lion that stalked his prey down, now he is an old lion that waits in the bushes for something to come past"

Yea, he never really turned it up with Taylor until to late, I think he expected Taylor to get tired and then he could win a TKO. Which didn't work.

i aint changed my mind we all knew then that Hopkins lack of stamina was exactly why he woould not win that fight and i have never said any different he owned Joe with a 43 year old body and his stamina is the reason he did not whip Calz comfortably
