Threads like this really don't serve much of a purpose. Debating this stuff is useless. It is clear that the people who believe what they believe will never be able to see any other side of the story. Plus, must of it is just blind hate.

yeah it would be easier for lower weight fighters than Calz what a cop out if Mosley had stayed at LW he would have been dominent for years ,great champions take on great challenges

Calzaghe better than Toney thats a matter of a opinion ,there is no one on Calzaghe record that could of beaten James Toney no one ,Kessler would of been made to look a fool with a prime Toney as would Eubank as for rest lol
The bold is opinion, and then you tell someone else that there comments are a matter of opinion?

Most of the stuff on this forum and in this thread is opinion. One exception is "Hopkins was ranked higher than any of potential Calzaghe opponent at the time", which is fact.

i dont know Mosley would of dominated for years thats true but i dare say a betting man would of put his money on him having less losses on his record had he stayed at his natural division than he would fighting 3 divisions out of it and facing physically bigger men who are natural at that particular weight ,matter of fact anyone with any commonsense would come ot that conclusion

well the rankings dont always illustrate who the most dangerous oponent out there does it cause styles make fights and the ranking can be determined by opinion aswell so its a bit of a mute point really

i like joe, but there is no ****en way that roy has fallen off so much that he loses to joe.

just no ****en way; that right hand that hopkins put down joe with was pathetic; roy will do worse over the long run if that old ***** can revert back to 2 years ago.

It was the most difficult fight available to him. That's not a fight you take if you are scared of challenges/ducking.

I don't think he will get much credit for beating Roy. However I am sure he weighed that up when he took the fight and signed for the big dollars. The only Calzaghe fans I see ****ing on about what a great win it will be are the total morons that know nothing about the sport and don't contribute anything to the forum or listen to logic or common sense. I would not waste my time trying to convince these people, it is healthier just to let it go.

Benn-McCllelan hate to bring it up. How can you not like Benn? He has everything almost everyone likes in a fighter, always goes out winning or on his sheild.
