its irrelevant if i think Pavlik can beat him i could reel of a huge list of WW and pick PBF to defeat all of them but it dont make it so and it certainly dont mean he can duck em all and face no criticism for it

Hopkins has almost exactly the same career as Calzaghe, and please don't tell me about his incredible wins over Trinidad and De La Hoya. Oscar is a multi weight champ so I'm not going to cry over that one, and as for Mosley, he may have left his original division (easier for lower weight fighters I might add, and yes I know Jones and Toney did it) but he isn't a better boxer than Joe.

Did you know 2/3 people to KD Calzaghe were American and the other one lives over here.

Also, tell me a boxer who would have given Calzaghe a harder time.

Jones is a different story though.

He'll face Pavlik, I'm sure. Not sure who else he's 'ducked'. I know you'll say Jones but I don't think it was quite like that. Who knows if they could have made the fight?

he is a risk assesment expert Hopkins was 43 when Calz decided to step up and that is why he was so dismissive of Hopkins in the build and kept repeating he is a 40 year old man cause he knew he was not fighting a fighter that could stay with him for 12 and he was right Hopkins age was the telling factor otherwise he would of got his ass kicked
Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins were fights than many believed he would lose. He has shown several times that he is willing to take on tough challenges.

What it means is that Hopkins was the best and most credible opponent Joe could have faced by a country mile, and proved it in the ring.

Hopkins had a better resume than Calzaghe and would of beat Calzaghe in his prime the evidence we saw when he was 43 tells u enough about that scenario ,Hopkins is a better fighter and has losses cause he fought the best untill he was 43

yeah it would be easier for lower weight fighters than Calz what a cop out if Mosley had stayed at LW he would have been dominent for years ,great champions take on great challenges

Calzaghe better than Toney thats a matter of a opinion ,there is no one on Calzaghe record that could of beaten James Toney no one ,Kessler would of been made to look a fool with a prime Toney as would Eubank as for rest lol
