I really hope Bernard gets knocked out. I used to like the guy until I learned more about him. I thought he was a nice mature boxer with respect. But little did I know he was a racist.

Could you imagine if Kelly Pavlik said, "No black man will beat me!". He'd be gunned down the same day probably.

Hopkins is not racist. He is a businessman who thought he was doing something smart. He tried pulling the race card (see Cooney Holmes) to try to gather more interest in the fight. It simply did not work out as he hoped. I guarantee you that he respected Joe going in and coming out of that fight. For all the posing and talk, it was his idea of promotion.

That tour and disrespect to the British media was on purpose. He wanted the British fans to hate him so he and Joe would make some good coin.

Bhop is a great salesman and always has been. His product is not as good as it once was, but that has never deterred a salesman. GBP took him under their wing for a reason. He gets paid good money from them just to show up and talk about fights, even if he is not involved with it.

If Pavlik can solve the BHop puzzle and lands a fight with Joe, Abraham should be on the card.

Lol, this is amusing! A couple of weeks ago you were saying that Calzaghe said Pav needed to prove himself first, THATS why Joe wouldn't fight him. You said what has Pav done to deserve a shot at the best fighter p4p. You said if Pav wanted a shot at Joe he should move up to fight him. Now that Calzaghe wants the fight, you "shudder".

Kelly should win....but I'll bet all my points it won't be by KO...
HBO is tryin to build up a Calz vs Pavlik mega-fight....but by puttin' Pavlik against Hopkins is playin' with fire...they could get burned....And Roy is very capable of beatin' Calz....they could get burned there to....then that leaves us with Hopkins vs Jones Jr. II instead of Calz vs Pavlik.....then we all get burned....I hope Bernard doesn't get seriously hurt and Pavlik wins convincingly enough to make the old man hang'em up....

First of all, this fight is a shame. It's like there are no other choices, it's pathetic. Fighters take a fight most of the time cause the fight may lead to bigger things or more money. BHop is a great boxing strategist, but I don't see him beating Pavlik. BHop is going to lose twice to white boys, period. This time will be by way of KO. He should retire after this fihgt. I don't doubt that the MEGA fight on 2009 could finish up been Pavlik vs. Jones Jr. (not to mention the more BIGGER MEGA FIGHT between Cotto and PBF)

The same reason Mr. Calzaghe himself did..... No matter how much you Hate/love Grandpa HOP people will watch the fight, and when that happens there will be a lot of money made. I know your hardheaded but that is why... even you will probably pay $50 to watch this fight.... You can say you wont, its ok I understand. Like some others have mentioned, the only thing that can really come of this fight is "IF" Pav can win convincingly or better than Calzaghe did. Pav can force a BIG fight with Joe...

I would look forward to Hopkins v Pavlik. If BH were to beat Pavlik, which he could well do. JC might not have to waste his time fighting Pavlik.
Because JC beat BH, so JC has done well to beat BH in America. But then if Pavlik were to beat BH. THe JC and Pavlik match would be a bit more mouthwatering. Pavlik really would be the real deal and a worthy challenger for ending JCs unbeaten record.
That is if RJJ dont put a spanner in the works?

This is a great fight for hyping pavliks image. Although I'm a huge b-hop fan. I can see pavlik knocking him out. And thats why people will want to watch this fight. This is a better match up than Jones-Calzaghe. And will do more to boost pavliks name. Good move Super *** Arum.
