all this talk about arthur, but why is it that he never fought any of the other champs b4 pavlik wont he belt???????????? tayor and bhop? wtf!!!!!! it's his issue he never did, not pavlik, he is the new champ. abraham had a strap long before pavlik! blame arthur for not making a fight, not pavlik. what has arthur been doing all this time toward unifying his title? oh, yeah, fighting no ones, and never leaving germany. dont try and put his failure, and ass dragging off on pavlik!!!!!! now arthur has a mandatory. he is the one who needs to pay marquez to step off, and HE needs to make the fight with the champ. yeah boof, he said pavliks ****ing name for the 1000th time, we heard you the first 999, stfu about it. he said pavliks name, HE needs to make it happen, not the champ. pavlik is the king, not arthur. arthur is not gonna be handed the shot, he needs to get it! the burden lies on him, as it has all along, yet since he failed to make anything of himself let's blame pavlik!!!!!!!! ffs, gimme a break with this horse****!!!!!! broken ****ing record.

What it all comes down to, is the AA vs. Pavlik fight might not ever happen. It is easy for us to demand the fight when we are not the ones taking a financial risk with it.

Why hasn't AA ever fought Sturm? Same country right? You damn well know there would be interest in it and it would be a pretty big event. Well you got two camps wanting too much money and it makes the adventure risky. So it never happened.

Calling Pavlik a fraud because his opponents do not meet your criteria just shows you have a vendetta against him, plain and simple. He has had one easy opponent in the past 2-3 years. I think he is doing quite well.

Sturm and AA are friends, and have said they won't fight. That is understandable. Second, why is fighting Hop all of a sudden acceptable. If Hop or Cal were in their primes at 175, those fights wouldn't even be thought of. Arum is going after the money. I don't judge fights if they are hard or easy. This has to do with principle and unification, not money. Right now money is running boxing. This type of crap is why the UFC is gaining fans.

My criticism comes without hate. When you see Floyd dissed, that is hate. I don't talk bad about fighters. The worst I might call a fighter is overrated or a fraud. I realize that PAv is a good fighter, and he can be great, but the route he is going is a route that can only hurt boxing.

Dean, you are a poster with a respectable argument. PAv is chasing Hop and then Cal. Don't you want to see a middleweight unification? Don't you see what Arum is doing? Why fight the fight here when it can be fought overseas too? Why not put them on the same card. Pav is in his prime. Is he going to get credit for putting old men to rest? Prime fighters beat prime fighters. This second tier opponents thing has been said about many a fighter when it comes to a fans favorite fighter. Every fight does not have to be on ppv, and you can't start of fighting for millions, and then all of a sudden when you run out of options, find someone who can earn you millions. Judah-Kostya was on regular cable. Castillo-Corrales on regular cable. Abraham fought on showtime and called the champ out. When it comes to Arum, nobody is overpricing themselves out. He could've fought Abraham, said something to Abraham, said something to the fans about a unification. He has not even uttered Abrahams name. Right now boxing is in a bad state. A guys resume, even though he is champ is being called into question. As a fan, you have to know a guy to know if he is crdible or not. A damn shame.

I know where you are getting at and I understand your point. AA vs. Pavlik is a fight i want to see more than anything. Boxing though is a sport that is basically controlled by individuals who promote and take risks. Arum right now, is simply chasing after big money. He is taking Pavlik, a good fighter, but unknown, but who also has credibility and trying to expose him to the existing superstars to 1. make more money 2. Increase his profile. From Arums standpoint, riding pavlik on Bhop's and Joe's popularity and celebrity will enhance Pavlik and make him The Man.

From our standpoint it is ho-hum as it is not what we want, although pav vs. Cal is somewhat tasty for me. Pavlik vs. AA will need to be nurtured. We have to get AA over here more, just show his face and get him some good fights. If they do that. We will see an AA vs. Pavlik superfight by this time next year.

I know right now. If I was in a promoters shoes, i could not justify shelling out millions to each camp that nobody but the diehard fans would watch. I would not be willing to lose my shirt over it.

See but Leonard and Hearns were both huge superstars. They had huge followings and the fight could not lose financially.

Boxing now is not what it used to be though, especially in the US. The fight has to gain real interest and it is getting harder and harder to grab the casual fans interest. It also does not help that AA is not American, as he will find it tougher to gain a fanbase in the States. He can do it though because he is a massive puncher who can knock heads off. His style is made for the US. he just needs more exposure there.

I really hope Bernard gets knocked out. I used to like the guy until I learned more about him. I thought he was a nice mature boxer with respect. But little did I know he was a racist.

Could you imagine if Kelly Pavlik said, "No black man will beat me!". He'd be gunned down the same day probably.

Well I kinda like the Cal fight. The Bhop fight makes me shudder though. You have no ****ing idea how much!LOL

Pav vs. Hop will be a snorfest. I see Pavlik throwing a 1000 punches and missing like 900. I envision a ton of grabbing and wrestling. I have no interest in it at all. Arum see's it though as good money. Bhop, for all his tactics, is still a well known fighter to casual fans and a great self promoter.

If Pavlik can solve the BHop puzzle and lands a fight with Joe, Abraham should be on the card.

That would be the formula for success.
